Staples — Attraction in Clawson

Avoid this location at all costs! I stopped in today for the first and last time. The store itself is filthy and looks like a bomb went off. But the biggest disappointment is the complete lack of care and customer service. I came in for a very small laminating project that should have taken just two pouches. I was told it would take 30 minutes as the laminator needed to warm up. I came back an hour later, was stuck behind a gentleman whose incorrect and lost order apparently took a huddle of 3 staff members to handle. One of them even turned her back to the line and stood there just drinking her water completely unbothered, the other two never said anything. Meanwhile a long line had formed and 20 minutes had passed, finally one of the workers came to help us. At that time I learned that my order had not been touched. I asked to just have my items back so I could take them elsewhere, but was told that she was starting it, but they wouldn’t charge us. After a few minutes I was handed two laminate sheets, and 5 items were missing. The lady very rudely told me she did not have them or know where they were. I looked where my bag was still sitting and sure enough they were right next to them, so she laid them out on another sheet. When I spotted that there were only 4 I asked her if any could possibly be doubled up or on the floor. She was clearly annoyed, said no and ran it through the laminator without checking. Then she proceeded to tell me that I could have prevented this problem by placing them in the pouches myself. First of all this was never presented as an option or I would have been happy to do so to insure my items were handled with care and not lost. Second upon getting out to my vehicle I discovered that the missing item was in fact doubled up with another and now stuck in the lamination behind it. Not to mention that there were other items overlapping from her lack of care. Third she couldn’t even be bothered to apologize and instead thought it was appropriate to blame me for the lost and damaged items. Unbelievable! I didn’t want anything for free and was more than willing to pay for however many pouches it took to do the job correctly. Do yourself a favor if you want your project done right go...

I cannot say enough about the phenomenal service I received from Khadijah at Staples. She went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met—even after the store had officially closed. While most people would have rushed me out the door, Khadijah treated me with patience, kindness, and genuine care. She made sure every detail was taken care of 1000%, leaving me feeling valued and appreciated as a customer.

Khadijah truly exemplifies what excellent customer service should look like—professional, compassionate, and dedicated. Because of her, I will absolutely continue shopping at Staples and recommend this location to others. She is a gem to the company, and I hope her efforts are recognized and celebrated.

without a doubt, the filthiest, most unwelcoming, dramatically under staffed, under merchandised, empty shelf store imaginable. if you were shopping in a dilapidated, "inner city" store, this store would still stand out as a bottom of the barrel joint. if this store is not an embarrassment to staples, then staples is not worthy of your business. presenting your business in this fashion is an insult to every shopper. there is nothing at staples which can't be purchased in a well lit, clean, fully stocked, employee friendly store. a note of complaint has been sent to staples corporate, a polite "apology" response was returned to me. corporate is aware of the issues, will anything be done to rectify the...
