The Hideout — Restaurant in Clawson

Husband and I go here on occasion and usually like it. But on 5/15/25 not so much. I got chicken tender dinner and it was ok Husband got basic burger with onion rings. The burger was a sloppy wet mess with lettuce tomatoes ketchup and mayo. There was way too much ketchup and mayo. And the buns were too soft to handle that much ketchup and mayo all that moisture made the burger fall apart in his hands. Not an enjoyable eating experience with such a sloppy mess. The condiments should be put separately on the plate and grill the buns or use better buns that can handle it!!!! My husband only ate half the burger. It was ridiculous. We left rather...

Haven't been here in years mostly because of the smell and mediocre service however went here after work recently and was pleasantly surprised! It no longer smells like spilled alcohol and stale cigarettes. Also the server we had was very attentive and nice. The bartender also was courteous by asking if the music was too loud as she was adjusting it. I've never encountered that before and quite honestly it should be more often in other establishments! Sue is great bartender friendly & professional ALWAYS. However @ 5:50 pm this one day everyone was overserved in bar which is unfortunate. Left a tip on bar which was taken by customer who sat next to me who was drunk. Ordered a grilled ham & cheese sandwich which is always delicious but on this day tasted heavily of greasy grilled onions which means grill was not cleaned beforehand. People could get sick! Sorry to see this bar going this way after so many years in Clawson. Bar was empty one day when entered @ opening time & owner sat @ bar on phone never acknowledged us when we came in.
