It is a huge decision to let someone semi-permanently or permanently do anything to your face. When you meet someone new, subconsciously, the first thing they do is analyze your face. Your eye contact. Your hair color. Unique features of your face that will prompt memory of your name when they see that face again. (If you date like me that miiiiiiight not be an issue.) But do you know who looks at my face more than anyone? Me. Not obsessively but, ya know, I’m brushing my teeth, I see my face. I clear out a blackhead because I haven’t had a facial in three months., me. And I did this for no other person but for me. But I am blown away by the people that notice. People I’ve never met. They have no clue that I’ve had a procedure, they just glance at me while I’m checking out at the grocer and say, “Wow, hey, sorry to be weird, but, you have better eyebrows than Brooke Shields?” And it is a great feeling. What a confidence booster? I shopped around this procedure. I had a mediocre procedure done based solely in Microblading several years ago. The results definitely covered the scars in my brows well enough, but anyone within 5 feet of me could see that it wasn’t real. You get what you pay for. And then I got a consultation via text from Carrie. She analyzed what I had to work with and described what she could do from viewing a few photographs. I booked the appointment. The weeks leading up, the drive to the appointment, my stomach was in stitches about it. And rightly so. It’s my face! When I arrived at the boutique Carrie already had a “game plan” but spent nearly 45 minutes sincerely and passionately explaining her thoughts. Carrie asked for my input on brow strokes with empathy and certain artistic desire. By the time I laid back I honestly would have let her tattoo Porky the Pig on my forehead with the amount of confidence her vision put in me. No one notices. But everyone notices. Look for my before and after photos on...

Read moreI first met Carrie about 6 years ago when she was based in Orlando and also doing HMU work. We met on a photo shoot and started talking about permanent make-up. Initially after she shared her work with me, I decided to take the plunge and have her microblade my eyebrows. I loved it, but living in the South Florida sun, they faded fast. The following year I had her do powder brow and permanent eyeliner and I LOVED it. The next year I found someone near me to touch up my brows - and they were ok, yes just ok, I used them for my annual touch ups, but their work faded fast and my brows started to lose the amazing shape Carrie had originally given them. That said, I had zero trust for them to do my eyeliner (because needle... eye lid... you get it). I decided to redo my liner this summer (and annual brow touch up) so I reached out to Brows and Beauty A Go Go again. Now that they are based in Clearwater, it is even further for me to drive from South Florida, and it was 100% worth every minute driving to go see her again. Her work is AMAZING and I honestly can't believe I settled for meh with the person I found locally. I will continue to go see Carrie for my annual touchups, and if I could give her 1000...
