Banelly Taqueria (Authentic Mexican Food) — Restaurant in Clearwater

I've ordered through out the last 2 years, and street tacos delicious. However last two times food was terrible, chicken overcooked and under seasoned, and messily served. Last time, the counter employee who took my order raged at me! I had ordered to eat in, but left to go check my laundry. When I came back, all the tables were taken. I politely asked for a take out container. She became angry with me over the request. I explained the tables were all full. She went to a table that happened to have been just vacated, angrily shoved a chair out of the way, and half cleared it. I apologized for causing more work for her and said I would sit there and eat. But she threw a take out container onto the table and said, there, you can take it! I asked for a fork, to move the food from the plate into the container, but she said, no, you have to wait, I'm busy, and then rushed to another table. I dumped the food from the plate into the container. I could have handled an irate teen, left to handle a full restaurant on her own, taking it out on me, that's not going to take me down. But what clinched me not going back, was the unflavorful overcooked chicken, no discernable sauce, and mushy tortillas. Worst enchiladas ever. I'm sorry this place has...

You know how the best authentic cuisine is always in a hole in the wall spot and they absolutely have no advertising of any kind? Yeah that's this place. It shares a building with a laundromat and there's usually some mom figure in the back cooking up the orders. It's my favorite Mexican food in Tampa Bay bar none. You have to try their quesa birria, it's probably the best dish on the menu. 10/10 on flavor and the meat is crazy tender. But you also cannot go wrong on their burritos with salsa verde and their steak tacos. And their sauces?? Ughhh stellar. It's a must-try if you want that authentic street...

Food is amazing but let me tell you the number on Google NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH! - I did order with DoorDash and they were missing a whole meal that cost $15 - The DoorDash guy said he did not have it and to contact the store. Of course that’s exactly what I did and that’s when I got a lady telling me she did not speak English. How do you run a restaurant with nobody that speaks English. 😡 - I’m sorry, but that just doesn’t sit well with me. And then all you heard was music playing in the background. Crazy just crazy.
