Causeway Byway — Attraction in Clearwater

Used to drive over this bridge every weekend for several years with my buddies.Clearwater is a prime destination full of beautiful beaches and lots if clubs and tiki bars and restaurants and the very first Hooters restaurant in the workd.Yup it all began here.Beaches are sugar white and the hotels are beautiful and people are nice.This bridge is beautiful and cruising down the strip towards the round about on Clearwater beach both sides of the road are packed with street bikes nice cars and tons of beachgoers and plenty of really fun...

My husband and I love to walk & Clearwater Causeway Bridge is one of our favorite places to go for walks in our neighborhood.

We love sunset walks but every so often we get out just after sunset. And if we're not at an elevation, it gets dark quickly.. But by going up on the bridge we get spectacular views and often catch amazing photos of the post-sunset sky.

It's generally cool and sometimes a bit windy. So even in the humidity of the summer we have found it very comfortable to walk there. Very enjoyable & helps...

Even during rush hour the Courtney Campbell Causeway is a blessing. With the water view on both sides, it's the most beautiful route between Clearwater and Tampa. The road is very well maintained. There is a trail that goes parallel to most of its length, and even the by the bridge that we Locals call "the big hump".
