I started off loving this place, and our take out, because the fried rice with basil was so flavorful and so good! The won ton soup, however, was actually pretty flavorless. It’s pretty consistent everywhere when ordered but here-the won tons are flavorless and the rest of the soup is broth and bean sprouts. The won tons just taste like slimy noodles. The sushi, however, was terrible. I have eaten at so many sushi restaurants over the years living on the west coast and frequenting them some weeks more than once a week. I can appreciate different price points and actually love some grocery store sushi depending on who makes it. But the salmon sushi here was so bad I spit it out in the sink. My husband who lost his taste to Covid and can barely taste anything said it was so bad he couldn’t eat it which says a lot considering he has been eating anything with no complaints. Our other roll was really flavorless too. Some of the worst sushi we’ve had. They also sent us with a roll we didn’t order and attempting to resolve the issue over the phone was mindbogglingly infuriating. Why I had to talk to 4 people and listen to some man argue with the women while they talked over each other then came back to argue with me, I’ll never understand. I was trying to be polite but yes I do want my money back for a roll that has completely different ingredients than the online menu and for sushi so gross tasting with actual scales and skin on it still. Honestly, I wanted to love it. Especially since most of downtown Clearwater is overrun with Scientology anyways. Bad experience with bad taste in my mouth. (Bc I ate the sushi last and then called them). So it was a double whammy of terrible tasting...
Read moreI planned to go to this restaurant, craving for some Thai food. I made the long commute there as well. The entrance was traditional and nice, and we seated our selves. Firstly, the inside smells but it is ignorable. There was two severs, a male and a female, and a couple already eating. The waitress arrives, blank faced with no greeting or smiling. I quickly found her to be quite rude. We asked for some drinks first, some sodas. Without a word, she left to the kitchen. Some time later, she returned with the soda cans and glasses - without ice. She quickly disappeared. I was slightly irratiated, however. It was very hot that day, at least 100 degrees, and it seemed logical to provide a cold drink. I nicley asked the other waiter for a replacement of glass with ice. The waiter went into the kitchen and informed our waitress. She turned around and glanced at us rather mad. Minutes later, she arrived with the glasses with ice. Without a question whether if we were ready to order, she stood there for my response. I ordered some soup and appetizer first, and she spook to us with an attitude. She return to the kitchen grumbling. I found myself in a position of discomfort and annoyance. She was currently at the front desk, and I decided to go up to her and cancel my order. What she said next angered me the most. She respectively said "Sure". Her quick statement angered me the most for I felt that as a waitress she should question why we have made my choice to not continue our dinner into our main course.
Her service reflects the restaurants reputation. Though the food might be good, her failure of serving well easily allow to spoil the...
Read more3 adults/ 2 kids. Went inside to ask for a table and it smells terrible in there (like an old moldy place) so we decided to sit outside. The spring rolls are miserable and expensive. Order two sushi rolls, one was supposed to have spicy mayo which it didn't, so ask the server if she could bring me some spicy mayo, she said ok i will add it to the order, i tell her that the roll was supposed to have spicy mayo and she insisted the opposite, so i ask for the menu to double check and indeed it was supposed to have spicy mayo. She starts arguing saying that they mix the salmon with the mayo blah blah and she goes inside. She comes out with this nasty orangy syicky sauce which i think it was duck sauce mixed with siracha. It was disgusting! Then i ask for a plate for my 2 year old and i specifically told her it was for her and she bring a glass plate, 2 minutes later my 2 year old accidentally dropped it and breaks, the server gave us the meanest look and goes inside. After we were done I asked for the check and I see she tried to charge me for the sauce, and she added the 20% for the tip. I ask her to please remove the sauce and the 20% tip because I did not wanted to tip that amount. She said it was mandatory for a party of 5 which again it was only 3 a adults. The kids didn't even eat! She also said oh the owner said this time he won't charge you for the broken plate but next time he will. I laugh and said there is no next time. Thanks. This place...
