I tend to post a lot about mom and pop restaurants. I found a gem by word of mouth. My neighbor mentioned eating here and recommended it. The small dining area is in the back of the store. Go in, head straight to the deli counter and turn left. The specials are on a dry eraser board on the wall beside the register. The regular items are on a printed sheet. I ordered from the sheet. The sopes. I'm used to the size my mom makes and these came out the size of a Tortilla. Huge! A lot of meat, beans, shredded lettuce with some sour creme and chopped cilantro. Man what a treat. I'll be back. The cashiers do speak English. The tacos are also tasty with homemade tortillas that are soft with a lot of meat filling, chopped onion, cilantro and the salsa on the side. The green salsa is mild. Beware of anything red. Lol! You grab your own drink from the cooler. When done eating walk up to the order counter to get your tab. You pay at the checkout near the door....

Great local eatery. You can also find dried and fresh (at times) peppers of many varieties. Tomatillo is always available and fair price. If you need a tortilla press or warmers they have them too. If you decide to eat and don't speak Spanish, then use your sell phone to look it up. I love the goat and lamb burritos (by the way they more of a burro than a burrito!). Buy your tortillas at the retardant if you like.

This is not a dress up place at all, so as a restaurant it is 2 stars, the food is solid 3-4 and the grocery being there adds a star. The salsas are good, but they don't have a true Fresca and they don't have spicy pickled carrots and onions etc.
