This was my first time here and I had a TERRIBLE experience! The only good thing about our experience was that we were seated right away but after that the experience went drastically down hill. We sat for about 25-30 mins before we were greeted by anyone and then we were asked once by one of the other servers (and possibly owner/manager) if anyone had taken our drink order and we said "no". Instead of then taking our drink order, she acknowledged what we said and then walked away. About 5-10 minutes later the other server came to take our drink order, which was just water, and it was probably another 10 minutes before we actually got our drink order of JUST WATER. Now the place was semi-busy and our server had several tables and the other server had a few (and being a former server I understand being in the weeds)... however, not every table was getting horrible service like we were. For example, the couple that walked in the restaurant DIRECTLY before us (and were greeted with a warm welcome and hug from the lady who sat us) had their drinks, soups and main courses before we even had our waters (not to mention that their server was the girl who wouldn't even take our drink order). Another table who walked in about 30-45 minutes after us had their drinks, dinner and were finished before we even got our food (and we were 3 people with pierogi orders and this was a 5 top with all different entrees). Several other tables who came after us had their drinks or were greeted within minutes of sitting down (we actually timed it to see). I can understand if the place was busy and everyone was getting equally terrible service but if you are selectively treating some tables good and neglecting other tables, I am not okay with that. When we finally ordered our food we started with the potato pancake appetizer, which also took forever, and when it came out we did not receive the sour cream and apple sauce that it was supposed to come with. We had to ask for it, which surprised our waitress, and then we never even got plates to eat the appetizer on. Then when we finally got our food, it was just okay. It was nothing special and it was certainly not worth the wait and absolutely horrendous service that accompanied it. With all of that, we were never apologized to once about our wait or our terrible service. They really didn't seem to care. We were super excited to try this place and were sorely let down. I doubt we will ever...

My first visit to villa Bellini was for a special double birthday celebration last night. My family and I made reservations for 5 pm. When we arrived the table was ready and the hostess seated us right away. I had been to this location many years back when it was tio Pepe and then ceviche but had not yet visited it as villa Bellini. The environment felt very similar to how it ways was; chic yet homey and relaxing

The menu here consists of a very extensive variety of Italian items. I just went to Italy a few months ago yet had never heard of most of the dishes they had on the menu. I assure you, this is no Olive Garden, it's authentic Italian. They offer everything from traditional ravioli to surf and turf.

We started off with a glass of sparkling moscato wine while glancing at the menu. It was hard to decide what to get. I was debating between classic linguine and clams or papardelle Martine. The server recommended the second one so I decided to break out of my comfort zone and go for it. The menu advertises that the entrees included salad, potatoes and seasonal vegetables. For the first course we were given fresh bread with dipping sauce and our salads. All were excellent. However when the meal arrived we discovered the side items are only included with the non pasta entrees (seafood, steak, etc). This was a bit misleading as the menu made it seem as though all orders included those sides.

Anywho, the dish I ordered was a long, thick pasta with a cream of coconut sauce, sliced strawberries, arugula and shrimp. It was very rich and filling due to the cream sauce. The flavor was a bit too sweet for my preference but not bad overall. I was disappointed that only 3 shrimp were given. Seemed quite skimpy considering the price. Part of me wished I had stuck with the classic linguine and clams. Throughout the experience our server and the food runners continued to check in as needed. The service was not lacking by any means. The server boxed up our leftovers and retuned Them to the table when he was done doing so

We finished up our dining experience with a slice of limoncello cake and cappuccinos. The cake was fabulous, light and citrusy while not being overly sweet.

Overall it was a nice experience for a special occasion. However being that the prices were a bit high for an everyday meal (in my opinion) and the food was only "okay" I would give a 3 stars overall.

Would I go back? Possibly, but I'm...

I was really looking forward to my pierogies... I called, ordered the cabbage rolls for my step dad since my mom's in the hospital with my grandfather and can't cook, and a vegetarian mix with no onions, and changed the 3 with mushrooms to cheddar ones for my husband and I... First ones, we realize down the street, that it was full of onions. Now, we're on a time crunch for work. It's not easy for us to take a break. We already waited longer than the 10 to 15 minutes they quoted. So they said they'd give me a refund of $19 the pierogies. I agreed... then they said I'd have to come back for them to refund my card, so i just had them remake it... if i have to go back anyways.... I grit my teeth and go back, knowing this was going to make me finish my shift late, only to go back to them giving me a regular mix WITH MEAT. To make it even worse, we're both vegetarians, but pork is against my husband's religion. And we both bit into pork ones, after which, we both started vomiting. First bite of meat since I was 7 years old, first time my husband's ever had pork in his. I'm so angry! I called, and the lady was so rude, saying I ordered the regular mix... REALLY?! My husband said you called it a vegetarian mix with no onions and no mushrooms the BOTH TIMES we picked up... one came with onions and one came with meat! So either it was done maliciously or ignorantly, but to blame me for your incompetence on the one harmed is...

Patience with the service is well worth the wait at this excellent family Polish restaurant. Today one server had the whole dining room, so service was slow as would be expected in this case. But slow is not to be mistaken for poor. She did a fabulous job and managed the dining room like a pro. She even kept my drink topped off, which was impressive given how busy she was. Started with a small sausage plate which came out with a nice presentation and a good mix of sausages to get the taste buds working. For dinner had a nice piece of kielbasa over kraut. The sausage was perfectly grilled with a slight char, just how I like it. The kraut nicely flavored, not too sour, so done perfectly. And of course the pierogi's were terrific. Had mine pan fried stuffed with potato and farmer cheese. They came out perfect and the sweet onions on top a perfect compliment. UPDATE:. this place is on my regular rotation. The potato pancakes are nice and the cabbage rolls absolutely fabulous. Possible to be the best I ever had. And if you like Borsh. They have several style of Borsh and all are fabulous. Homemade perfection. Job well done like always. And absolutely worth the patience when busy as dinner is delightful. As a note. I am 50 percent Russian and 50 percent Czech-Polish. I was raised on this food and this is even better than mom made (sorry mom)

This had been our second time eating at this restaurant and the first time the experience was great but could have been better, this time it was a terrible experience, our waitress was a new hire, seemed like the management threw her in the service without training or direction whatsoever, I could see the manager or the owner getting on her about every little thing, which made the experience awkward and also terrible for us that just wanted to eat good Polish food. The food was delicious but they're rigid in the way they do the pierogi, you have to order 12 to get two flavors, sometimes you don't need to eat 12 to be able to try different flavors of pierogi, now their beef stew is one of the best I've ever tried, it was full of flavor and they give you a lot. And the atmosphere is nice, looks great outside and inside but it's dark inside even during the day.

Came here during quite a big dinner rush but still was able to be seated quickly. There are a lot of seats around with good sized tables. The restaurant is clean and I loved the fact that there was a little deli/market in the back with a lot of imported Polish foods. Everything we ordered was good, okay portion sizes for the price. We really liked the dessert blintzes, but also had the dill pickle soup, pierogis, beef stroganoff, potato pancakes and chicken schnitzel. The potato pancakes and dill soup stole the show for us, as everything else was just okay. I wouldn't recommend the apple mint drink (it tasted like bubble mint gum to us) but the raspberry tea is delicious. Not bad place to stop in and give a try though, especially if you're interested in polish foods but a bit too on the pricy side for the portions ($60 for 2 people)
