I know I should t expect it to be like actual Mexican food but I was extremely disappointed in everything! The services was okay, a bunch of waitresses were just in a circle and I needed their attention. Donât get me started with the food, so bland, and seemed like it was reheated. Iâve worked in Mexican restaurants, and they donât even serve actual Mexican rice, itâs white rice with mixed vegetables. The aguas frescas were watered down, and their store bought tortillas was definitely a big ew! How are you going to serve your customers store bought tortillas but be next door to a tortilla place? Huge disappointment. As a Mexican chef, this place deserves less than a one. Service a mess, food was atrocious, and lastly their cakes next door, wow! Figured Iâd place a custom cake from them since I was there and a fail. They say tres leches, but it was more like dry cake. We said NO STRAWBERRIES in the middle and we find strawberries inside. Whoever is running this places needs to shut down....
Read moreAn acquaintance posted a picture on social media that Mega Burrito had a special plate that had an octopus and shrimp (molcajete). I was amazed at how amazing this plate looked on social media. So, I made the call a day before to see if they required reservations for this plate and they told me it was a special so yes it was required because this order alone cost $80. The following morning I called for the reservation and set it at 5:15 pm for a party of about 5. My group came all the way from Saint Petersburg and for those that arenât aware of the commute time.. it took us over 45 min to get there only to find out that nobody had any idea about the reservation nor the fact that they made this dish at Mega Burrito. I never got to try the food considering how upset I was that I had a big party with me to try this special dish. So I have to say customer service is a 0 and if thatâs no good I rather not dine here. Hopefully anyone else doesnât go thru this but this had to...
Read moreThe name doesnât do it justice. If you can write the âMexican grandma cooking with love you never had in the sign in two words that should be the nameâ. You will not find the usual tex Mex slop of pre made food here. This place is the real stuff. The molcajete. Try that out. They give you this pot overstuffed with chicken, shrimp, chorizo, steaks, cactus, fried fresh cheese, small little onions with the crispy green stems attached to them all cooked in this godly tomato cheesy broth with the perfect amount of acid and spice that will leave you saying this is on another level to the last bite. The nachos are also on delicious, with real pieces of steak, sour cream and pico that is all rich but well balanced . Service is outstanding. Decor is rustic and hopefully stays that way as the simplicity keeps the...
