Liza Michelle Jewelry — Attraction in Cleveland Heights

I had searched high and low for a jeweler who could work with the design I had in my head. I knew that going the conventional mall front jeweler route was not going to get my dream ring. Then, I found Liza. From start to finish, Liza was wonderful. I had so many ideas in my head about what I wanted, but I could hardly find the words to do my fantasies justice. I gave her a few vague ideas - I liked pear shapes, I loved opals, and I wanted a nesting engagement ring and wedding band set. Liza took my less than helpful ideas in stride and quickly came up with three stunning drafts. I was completely blown away by how (seemingly) effortlessly Liza was able to capture what I wanted to wear for the rest of my life.

Liza really pulled together a few things that were very important to me. First, I had an engagement ring already that I wanted to utilize in the design of my new set. Liza was able to take the diamonds from my existing band and supplement them with new ones in order to create a seamless looks. Next, I really (really, really) wanted to support small, local businesses. Based out of humble Ohio City, Liza is just that. It was so wonderful getting to know the person who was painstakingly crafting such an important piece of my life and I truly got exactly what I wanted out of the experience I had with Liza.

If you ever need someone to flesh out your vague ideas... if you ever need someone to validate your weird stone fantasies... if you ever need someone to push you into an unconventional silhouette... if you ever decide you cannot wear cookie cutter jewelry for one more second... Liza is your girl. I can only hope that I find another purpose to work with her again...

How do you successfully put into words how much depth, care, intention and magic that goes into working with Liza? Initially my fiancé proposed with a ring I already had so that I could then design my forever engagement ring. I discovered Liza several years ago and knew from the moment I laid eyes on her work that she was the one I wanted to design my wedding rings. Fast forward, my consultation with her was transformative. I went in thinking I knew what I wanted as I am very familiar with the wedding industry and its trends, but walked away asking myself a lot of questions and ultimately discovering exactly what it was that felt like me - from the band to picking out my diamond. Liza herself is the most precious gem (get it?!), but the ring she designed and built for me is just out of this world beautiful. The amount of care and attention to detail is breathtaking and is just the most stunning piece of art. I am beyond proud to wear it on my finger and especially to have had it made for me by one of the most stellar human beings I have been so fortunate to meet. There is such magic in having a ring custom made over going to a store and buying whats on the shelf. I truly cannot wait to start the design process for my wedding band with Liza! Working with Liza was a truly fantastic experience- she is an artist and guided us masterfully through the engagement ring design process!

We worked with her to source a bicolor sapphire from the Tuscan Gem show for a customized Daniel engagement ring (and wedding ring!). She sent us photos and videos of the gemstone options, and once we’d finalized our choice, put together options of accent stone combinations. Liza worked with us patiently through iterations to find a combination of stones that made our hearts sing and worked with our budget. We absolutely adore how it came out!

Liza was patient and kind throughout the entire process and answered our many questions along the way. She’s a true artist and has created pieces that we will cherish for a lifetime. We also love that the rings were sustainably-made with recycled gold and responsibly-sourced gems.

Even though I helped with the finalizing the design choices of the ring, my now-husband cleverly conspired with Liza to tell me an alternative delivery timeline preserve the surprise timing of the engagement.
