Cain Park Alma Theater — Attraction in Cleveland Heights

Arrived at the venue well before the doors were supposed to open (6:30) with our tickets in hand ($40!). We got in line and headed inside the tent. Find out that our row had been added as folding chairs. And our party was not all together. Since the people sitting there “were already there” and didn’t want to move, we were split up. One person was placed behind a railing and couldn’t see anything. The rest of us were on the same level as the people in front of us, so we couldn’t see anything either. Didn’t even bother going inside for the second half of the performance because we were so uncomfortable in the heat and not being able to see or understand what was happening.

The actors of Ragtime deserve a better venue where the audience is better taken care of. Their performances were exemplary. The venue was absolutely ridiculous. For $40 I expect my seat to be reserved and not be a folding chair stuck next to...

Possibly the worst live performance venue anywhere in Ohio. For what a patron pays to see a show in this barn, it is only marginally less expensive than a show on Playhouse Square. To make matters worse, the amphitheater next door had a show and the sound was overlapping the show in the theater. The sound in the theater was barely distinguishable for much of the show. The City of Cleveland Heights runs this facility and should be ashamed of themselves for allowing shows to be produced in this bush league venue while charging major...

Exciting Art Show going on today, Sat July 13 and tomorrow Sun July 14! Attended yesterday! Quality artisans! Nice large pathway takes you around to all their special works. Reasonable prices. Small fee to attend. Enjoyed the music at the theater and can hear it softly throughout the park....
