Cain Park is a true gem that blends natural beauty, community spirit, and cultural richness. Nestled in a scenic ravine, this 22-acre park offers a peaceful retreat with its tree-lined paths and open green spaces.
What sets Cain Park apart is its vibrant arts scene. The park features two theaters—the Evans Amphitheater and the Alma Theater—that host a variety of performances, from concerts and musicals to dance and theater productions. The annual Cain Park Arts Festival is a highlight, showcasing artists from across the region.
For recreation, the park offers well-maintained tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground, a skate park, and a splash pad. The all-purpose pathway loops around the park, perfect for walking or jogging. In winter, the sledding hill becomes a favorite spot for families.
Recent enhancements include a new tiered seating area and an ADA-accessible ramp, improving accessibility for all visitors.

Read moreFirst off, nice place to see a show. Small setting lawn has good views, and the seats are actually for human size beings and quite comfortable. The sound system was also great. But several cons. First of all, no real parking which can be good or bad. The good part is parking is free. Bad part is you got to find a spot in the neighborhood in front of people's homes and hope that it's okay to park there, then walk into the venue. Give yourself enough time to find a parking space. The other con is the food or should I say lack thereof. There were three very small coolers selling only drinks with incredibly long lines. In the back of the pavilion were three food trucks offering way too wide a variety of foods. This a concert folks... sell some sandwiches, Some fries, some nachos and some drinks. And let's move on. The woman behind me spent an hour to get food. That should never happen at a concert ever. I appreciate having gourmet food trucks, but in a concert setting you need fast service over super high quality food. Fix that problem and it would be a near perfect place...
Read moreThis beautiful park is filled with everything one wishes for in a park, except accessible parking. This drawback is somewhat circumvented by the gratis gate-to-destination-in-park transportation via electric vehicles. There is an amphitheater used for big-draw crowds that has excellent acoustics and multiple ways one can get comfortable. In addition there's a theater for smaller groups. Some performances are free, and others require a paid ticket. The entertainment ranges from Broadway plays (older ones) to rock-and-roll, dance, oldies-but-goodies, to klezmer, and more. The park also has an art gallery, tennis courts, and picnic tables. It is located in a ravine that has been transformed into a horticulturalists delight. It is not impossible for people who have difficulty ambulating, especially if they are dropped off near an entrance. It is secure, beautiful, and free. This is a park one can bring out-of-town friends to and...
