Cain Park is a true gem that blends natural beauty, community spirit, and cultural richness. Nestled in a scenic ravine, this 22-acre park offers a peaceful retreat with its tree-lined paths and open green spaces.

What sets Cain Park apart is its vibrant arts scene. The park features two theaters—the Evans Amphitheater and the Alma Theater—that host a variety of performances, from concerts and musicals to dance and theater productions. The annual Cain Park Arts Festival is a highlight, showcasing artists from across the region.

For recreation, the park offers well-maintained tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground, a skate park, and a splash pad. The all-purpose pathway loops around the park, perfect for walking or jogging. In winter, the sledding hill becomes a favorite spot for families.

Recent enhancements include a new tiered seating area and an ADA-accessible ramp, improving accessibility for all visitors.

Cain Park is more than just a park—it’s a cornerstone of the community that offers something for everyone. Whether you’re there for a performance, a stroll, or to enjoy the outdoors, it’s a place that leaves a...

First off, nice place to see a show. Small setting lawn has good views, and the seats are actually for human size beings and quite comfortable. The sound system was also great. But several cons. First of all, no real parking which can be good or bad. The good part is parking is free. Bad part is you got to find a spot in the neighborhood in front of people's homes and hope that it's okay to park there, then walk into the venue. Give yourself enough time to find a parking space. The other con is the food or should I say lack thereof. There were three very small coolers selling only drinks with incredibly long lines. In the back of the pavilion were three food trucks offering way too wide a variety of foods. This a concert folks... sell some sandwiches, Some fries, some nachos and some drinks. And let's move on. The woman behind me spent an hour to get food. That should never happen at a concert ever. I appreciate having gourmet food trucks, but in a concert setting you need fast service over super high quality food. Fix that problem and it would be a near perfect place...

This beautiful park is filled with everything one wishes for in a park, except accessible parking. This drawback is somewhat circumvented by the gratis gate-to-destination-in-park transportation via electric vehicles. There is an amphitheater used for big-draw crowds that has excellent acoustics and multiple ways one can get comfortable. In addition there's a theater for smaller groups. Some performances are free, and others require a paid ticket. The entertainment ranges from Broadway plays (older ones) to rock-and-roll, dance, oldies-but-goodies, to klezmer, and more. The park also has an art gallery, tennis courts, and picnic tables. It is located in a ravine that has been transformed into a horticulturalists delight. It is not impossible for people who have difficulty ambulating, especially if they are dropped off near an entrance. It is secure, beautiful, and free. This is a park one can bring out-of-town friends to and...

Attended a concert at the Evans Amphitheater here. The entry way consisted of an open atrium and ticket booth, with red brick and green vines/foliage as the exterior decor. Unfortunately it smelled of sewage just outside of the gate to the venue. The bathrooms are average size and could be a little bit better maintained. The main part of the venue consisted of theater seating on white, fold out, plastic chairs. There is ample room in the back for lawn seating. The eatery, called the Cain Park Grill, was priced as expected for concessions. Fries were heavily salted but beef hot dog was great. Not all condiments were full at the opening of the grill for the night, so I’m sure the large rush of customers had a little trouble with consuming an adequate amount of ketchup or mustard. The overall decor of the actual theater was beautiful! This is a one of a kind venue, and India. Arie that night mentioned her love for the venue as well.

I attended a smooth jazz concert here. This is a great performance place nestled in a valley in Cleveland Heights. There is a covered pavilion for stage and seats and a lawn seating area as well. Didn't seem as if there were any areas where sightlines to the stage were interrupted. There were plenty of volunteer ushers to help guide you to your seat. There are food and drink options on-site. Restrooms were clean. Parking is on street or there is a shuttle from somewhere, I don't remember the details of that. This is a good venue and I enjoyed the concert very much. Hope I can travel up there again soon.
