Reviews are subjective so I won't go into too much detail as it may just be my experience or expectations that were not met. Overall the staff was friendly and courteous. The hospital area I visited was the H-51. Seemed a bit understaffed for the level of patients hospitalized there. At times it took several attempts but eventually we got what we needed. Nurses station attendants were friendly and gave assistance as needed. Attending nurses were also friendly and courteous.
Attending physician Dr. Steele and his team were amazing. My mom felt very cared for and appreciated their bedside manners. They kept her abreast of everything that was going on as well as what to expect. She was very impressed with the doctor's dress code and even gave interpretation to each one of his outfit. She is very happy with him and his team. So much so that she wants to advocate to bring them to her little island.
My only major concern was that hospital staff spoke loudly when addressing the patients. With 2-bed per room, separated only by a curtain, you can hear everything that is being said. Especially when the nurses and attendants make no attempt to lower their voices when speaking to patients. I learned more about the ailments of my mom's roommate than I cared to know. Pretty sure HIPPA has rules and guidelines about discussing patients issues out in the open. Perhaps if they could refrain from mentioning the patient's condition or use their inside voice if that could not be avoided, one would have to stain to hear what is being said. Also staff does not greet you as they enter the room unless you are the patient they are visiting. I'm just saying, I got issues. What about you?)i(

Read moreMy husband was recently a patient on H-80, The doctors here are very professional, the best in the world. But, that is where my praise ends.. I arrived there to find him still in the clothing he was transported in, rather than a gown. I had to ask for clean bedding on two separate occasions and changed the sweat soaked sheets myself. Housekeeping came to the room one time and wiped the bed frame down with a vinegar solution; that was the entire extent of cleaning the room; i cleaned the floor next to the bed myself where something had been spilled. Not once did my husband receive the meal he ordered; when i complained, his nurse said she would take care of it.. it was not taken care of, his meals were never fixed. The nurses aides were not friendly or helpful, it seemed like they were inconvenienced if my husband needed help with anything. Lastly, the nurses and aides do talk extremely loud, as we could hear everything they said to the patient in the next bed, there is a certain level of privacy expected regarding healthcare that was overlooked by staff. My advice to anyone whose family is a patient, speak up for them and demand quality of care, otherwise, your loved one will receive the...
Read moreSomeone said that reviews are subjective and I couldn't agree more. I have come up here multiple times to see specialists and it's quite an awe inspiring facility. It's like a "doctor mall" There's restaurants, kiosks, people walking everywhere in all directions. Its huge, has long halls connecting in multiple directions, wings, and levels. Its actually like entering a giant puzzle. Its really cool to see and experience but I highly recommend figuring out where you need to go and DO NOT HESITATE to ask one of the DOZENS of staff standing around trying to help you and everyone else figure out where to go. Other than that, parking is plentiful and they have valet parking too. Not too mention all the amenities one could offer. All handicapped assistance amenities, bathrooms everywhere, signs and help in all directions. They even have water fountains if you are short on cash for drinks at one of the many places that offer food...
