Unfortunately, our recent experience with a Panera Bread delivery left much to be desired. This was an online order placed for a larger work lunch, and while the order was clearly detailed online, it was not properly fulfilled. One entire meal was missing despite being listed on the receipt, and the packaging was very poor—soup had spilled during transit, and a fruit cup arrived open, which is unacceptable from a food safety perspective.
To make matters worse, the tag on the order indicated utensils were included (including two much-needed spoons), but none were provided. This lack of attention to detail made it difficult for the team to properly enjoy their meals.
The delivery service itself was also concerning. There was a very strong and unmistakable aroma of a drug substance when the food arrived, suggesting the drivers may have been under the influence or recently used. The smell was so potent that hours later, when the team went to enjoy their cookies, the scent lingered to the point that it impacted the experience.
This was a disappointing and concerning order, especially given that it was intended for a professional setting. I hope Panera and their delivery partners can take steps to improve food handling, order accuracy, and delivery professionalism...

I joined the unlimited sip club and ordered on the app. It said drinks were self serve so I went up and all I saw were the green cups by the kiosk. I grab one and put ice in it then one of the employees yells at me that it’s not a juice cup I need a plastic cup all I see for plastic are little cups that are like two sips worth. This is only my second time at a Panera and this was an awful experience. This lady is rude. There is no reason to yell at someone across the register area over to where I was standing by the drink area. I ended up having to ask another customer if I order a tea what cup do I use? And explained what had happened she agreed there was no excuse to yelled and told me I have to ask them from the area you get your food so I did and this same lady was back there and she was rude helping me then. Read moreEmployees stand around talking about tattoos and free food, even when they are 20 minutes late on my order, and a line of people 12 people are trying to get back to see their family members in the hospital. They don’t even care. To top it off, I ordered a chicken bacon ranch sandwich—there was ONLY chicken on the sandwich. Too late to go back because I’m already on the other side of the hospital. The employees are lazy, don’t care, and stand around like there is nothing to do. The girl “handing out” food — on the customer side of pickup —is wearing grey yoga pants and a sweatshirt, but will bark at you if you reach for your food on the pickup counter without asking HER first.
