LatinUs Theater — Attraction in Cleveland

I just saw Tropico Macbeth by John Rivera Resto at the LatinUs Theater in Cleveland, OH. The experience was incredible starting with the mixed media production that incorporated video and still images that transported you from a battle field, to a night club to the gardens at the castle.

Add in the intensity of the individual actors collectively weaving a dark plot of power and revenge and you have a story that while old as the beginning of time is refreshingly modernized. I knew that the production was in Spanish and I was prepared to try and keep up with subtitles, but to my surprise I was given a translation device and headphone to follow along with.

Kudos to LatinUs Theater for offering original productions by Hispanic artists. All in all a magical evening.
