Card shop that has a lot of unique snacks and models. It didn’t look like they had a big inventory of cards, I saw about 2-3 booster boxes of Pokemon, of 1 of Lorcana, and I think 1 One piece. They had a box of assorted dollar cards at the front but that was about it. It is a very very narrow shop, I think there was many 6-8 people in the shop and everyone kept bumping into each other, didn’t know where to check out. Idk the flow of the store just seemed odd. The girl working the register was super nice trying to keep a rythem to everything but she seemed like she could have used some extra help. I know they have a big online community and have lots of tournaments for the players in the area. Which that’s cool and I’m always happy to hear. It just wasn’t my favorite shop in the area.

The Geek Peek is the best place to get any of your nerdy wants or needs! A large variety of both retro/vintage items and well as many new things like: collectables, trading cards, games and merchandise I would highly recommend shopping here! The website is easy to use and the owners are great on the customer service end (easy to get a hold of for questions or concerns). Easily a 10/10, I will be a returning customer! *****UPDATE: they have now opened a brick and mortar at 4298 Pearl Rd, Cleveland, OH 44109!! They are selling merch but the best part It's a nostalgia lounge that will have areas people can play retro video games, board games, and there will even be a coffee shop adjacent for a super cool vibe. I'm really excited to have a unique experience in the old Brooklyn area!

I love to see small businesses popping up around this area ☺️✨ especially in this area of town ✨ it's really growing! 👾👾👾 It's rare to see a shop that sells actual goods imported from Japan (it's very nostalgic for me since I lived in Japan for years). Friday they have Magic the Gathering games (Commander). Saturdays there are DnD tables set up! They expanded their Gatcha-gatcha (capsule) machine collection! 😍 Great job! Keep up the good work! I love you guys! ❤️

This will be a long review so if you don't care to read the rest, the summary is this: Shop here. And shop here often. They are worth the drive, effort, and cost associated with doing business with them.

Now for the long version.....

I am new to the Pokémon hobby but I took to it instantaneously. Over the last 3 months of collecting with my family, we have had some negative experiences with shady people and attempted robbers. So in coming here, I was a little on guard.

Shortly after arriving, I got to see that my fears about coming to a new spot were unwarranted. The atmosphere was friendly, lively and welcoming. Jill was unbelievably nice and helpful. She helped me find some of the stuff I was looking for and helped find me a price I could comfortably afford. She was great. I was able to pick up more than a handful of cards that I needed.

But on a bit of a deeper level... I have some serious health issues that are kicking my butt these days and some days I'm too physically ill to leave my house. Whether that's for work, church, or even to see family. My illness controls my life and on the really bad days, it's hard to find a reason to smile. Today was one of the bad days and I wound up showing up almost 2 hrs later than I meant to be because of it.

At no point in my being there, did Jill treat me how so many other do lately. Most ppl treat me like I'm dying. All Jill really did today was smile politely, offer me the help I need to continue to be able to enjoy my hobby, and NOT treat me like I'm dying. That, to me, leaves a lasting impact more than anything else could.

Thank you for allowing me to be...

Sort of a small and disorganized game store. Unusual layout that probably lends itself to theft.

Edit to respond to Owner comment: Your reply is a bit obtuse and obviously intended to be insulting to me, I guess, because you took offense? I have been to nearly every game store in a nearly 200 mile radius and spend money at them freely. There is a reason they have certain product in certain locations. The fact that you don't see a connection between relative similarities in the layout of most game stores indicates you aren't very concerned or familiar with CX. That's fine. Many game store owners are less business people and more just enthusiasts. Some of them have social problems. If you don't mind being on the receiving end of people stealing and your customers don't mind eating those costs, then whatever, but it certainly isn't a "weird assumption."

I'm not your hired consultant, so I don't feel the need to address every little bit about why most of your inventory is somehow both small and disorganized. My private collection is larger than your business inventory, although to be fair, it is probably as badly organized. The fact that when you have customers in on the weekend they are all in each others' way should be a clue enough that customer flow isn't ideal. I'm glad you have those customers, but the demand for the recent Pokemon and Magic sets are certainly driving the flow more than your specific location.

You can get defensive to reviews all you want, but vaguely accusing wealthy potential customers of theft is not particularly good business, even if your...

This place is 100% legit! I have been in and out of shops for 15 years and across 3 continents. The rogue's den closes:the owners welcome the displaced player. People comment on their low prices:The owners post actual screen shots proving that online retailers are over charging. THEY STAYED OPEN ON EASTER SO PEOPLE WOULD HAVE SOMEWHERE TO GO! Thats not just business that's believing in something.

With the popularity of ttrpgs and tcg a lot of people said "I don't understand it but the smelly nerds will pay a lot of money for these stupid pieces of cardboard". They opened shops but they don't play the game, they dont respect the community and they dont know what it is like to come to your LGS and for just a moment forget the many real problems you have because everyone losing their mind cause you pulled the shiny cardboard with the lizard on it.

I'm an East sider so I dont frequent the shop much and I'm not an active tcg player but people who believe in these silly hobbies of ours and who back it up with action dont have do any of the underhanded stuff people say they do. They create a welcoming space that makes people give them...
