Silk City Distillers — Attraction in Clifton

Wowww!!!! What a hidden gem! From the owners, to the atmosphere, the tour, and of course the whiskey. This team of two couples truly took what many of us take as an idea and made it an amazing reality. Brought some really big whiskey buffs with me and the whiskey even impressed them.

So why was it so good? We were there for the release of there straight bourbon which has aged for the longest time of 2 years and let me tell you it was two years worth waiting for, smooth, extremely flavorful, and no real burn at all! They also were telling us about all the new experimentals they will be releasing and they sound amazing! One of our favorite off the norm ones that we tried and bought was there oat whiskey yea it's made with oatmeal?!?!, And corn of course but wow was it interesting and good. Overall having visited a number of distillerys in NJ there prices are extremely good especially considering it's located so close to the city. I will definitely...

Confused that I hadn't heard of this place sooner, since I live so close, but damn! Fire drinks. Of course we only got two, but both were rediclously tasteful and strong. I got the "Bourbon Rum Affair" and it was perfect - manly, powerful and fall centric, would absolutely get it again. Here's the description: Silk City Straight Bourbon, Silk City Dark Rum, Local Apple Cider, Silk City Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup, Red Wine Reduction, Lemon Juice, Nutmeg. I also tried the "The Snozzberries Taste like Strawberries" and it might have been even better! I was recently at the distillery for maybe the 6th or so time, always have a great experience. However, this time was exceptional. I was with a group of 5, one of whom is pregnant. Upon hearing this, Jane (I believe she said she is the owner’s wife) brought multiple rounds of fun non-alcoholic beverages for my friend on the house. She never had to ask, just always had a mocktail in front of her. I’ve never seen an establishment pay so much mind to a non-paying customer simply out of kindness. Completely above & beyond.
