Emerald Corner — Restaurant in Clifton

It’s totally worth it. Sure it’s more on the dive bar side but that’s what’s cool about it. My friend Laura and I went after considering it for some time now and we thought it was great.

We meant to go home and eat dinner but were lured with the nachos and wings. The nachos came out covered in chopped lettuce, tomato & jalapeños - so technically it was like we were having a salad — so we could feel less guilty about the rest of that plate. The chips themselves were fantastic – – small, thin and almost like a scoop to hold a delicious chili, as well as the rest of the toppings. The wings were great too: nice and spicy but not killer.

Laura got a Blue Moon on tap and I went with the watermelon cooler drink. So not only did I have all the veg fixings they came with the nachos, I had watermelon pureé in my drink – – so ACTUALLY I was being healthy! LOL

We had two attentive & quick women bartenders - Liz and another blond who was very adept at hopping up on the bar to change the drink sign. (Side note: I give her credit for not flipping off the dude that felt the need to make a j.o. comment the first time she hopped up. Attention men: Women don’t need to hear sleazy comments when they’re working, or ever really. So just don’t.) Both we’re cheerful, fast and took a minute to make us feel welcome, despite being busy.

Emerald Corner is your classic neighborhood bar—nothing fancy, just good vibes, solid food, and bartenders who keep things moving. It’s the kind of low-key spot where you can grab a drink, watch a game, and feel like a regular even if it’s your first visit.

The vibe is relaxed and a little old-school, with sports on TV, a jukebox playing in the background, and a small but lively crowd. It’s the perfect place to unwind after work or hang out with friends

The food here is way better than you'd expect from a dive bar. The burger-and-wing combo—juicy, flavorful, and a ton of food for the price. Wings come in a bunch of flavors (the hot buffalo and teriyaki are standouts), and the portions are generous.

The bartenders are friendly, fast, and totally on top of things.

Overall, Emerald Corner nails the dive bar formula: chill atmosphere, great service, and food that hits the spot without killing your wallet.

went there Nov. 4th 2 steaks and picher of beer. the new waitress is terrible. she says how do you want your steak we both said medium. she brings them back rare. so they send it back to the kitchen and they put the whole plate in the microwave with the fries cole slaw and pickle needless to say it tasted like crap. then we started drinking the beer about half way through my friend spits out someones gum that was chewed and wraped in the gum paper. and the owner had the balls to yell at the waitress for dumping the beer. when the they put the beer and the steaks on the counter for the waitress to pick up and bring to the tables, needless to say with the dirtbags that hang at the bar counter no telling what they would do. guess what I will never...
