I sat on this for a day and I'm still annoyed at the service. Terrible. I came in very thirsty as I was taking my kid from soccer to hockey all morning and never got a water during this. So when I came in I was dying of thirst. My head was throbbing from dehydration. The waitress came over in a timely manner and from there that was about the only thing she did right. She asked if I wanted a drink. I said I just really need a glass of water. Hoping that would help her understand the urgency of my situation. It fell on deaf ears. She took my order and never came back my water nor no where to be seen. The food runner finally came out. I asked him for the water and he got one. I chugged immediately. The Pickle chips were way over cooked and frankly someone in the kitchen should have stopped them from being served. Their visual appearance alone was enough to stop them from going out. Waitress had check in at some point when food came but never brought me another water. I don't even think she realized someone else brought me water. Next up in my lunch of misery was soggy burger. So the entire bottom of the bun was wet like a sponge. It was impossible to hold. My guess would be they plated on a very wet plate. The burger it's self was under cooked very red and falling apart. I'm typically ok with MR and R food but the burger was really under cooked. So at this point I'm not in a rush at all. Had a crazy morning and really wanted a few just to sit and relax before heading home to do chores. Anyways the waitress far exceeded my expectations on coming back to the table. Like she never came back. I really wanted a dessert to split with my son before I left. However after waiting forever I saw it would be a bad idea to order anything else and expect a check. I had to get up and get the host to get my check ready. There were 3 other tables it seemed complaining too about her lack of attention. If the restaurant is over working her than it's their fault. But really you should make your self seen or walk by some. If the restaurant is that slammed which they weren't then at least send a host or manager to say were running a tad behind and the waitress will be with you shortly.
In addition this place has one of my most hated things which I stopped going to chilis because of these. They have the table kiosk. My son is 4 this creates a tremendous problem. I always ask if its going to charge me and they always say no. Yet I ALWAYS get charged on these things. The manager will usually blame my kid and say it asks if its OK. No its not. He's 4 he doesn't know. There is a clear reason I ask if its going to charge. Just get rid of them. You don't really need to nickel and dime your customers to death on stuff. So I took it off the table and then of course now my son is upset and crying and going to other tables trying to take their kiosk. These things deter me from wanting to do business. If you're gonna put them out don't charge. You really need and extra couple of bucks from me??? Makes me wonder how poorly your food quality is then.
Just really the worse dining I've had in...

He showed empathy and went above and beyond for my family to make our bad experience good. Your kindness and effort made all the difference and I’m truly grateful for it! Which is why I change my rating from 1 to 5. Lou, thank you!
Nothing is going to be done but I figured I would share my story so other potential customers can make an informed decision if this is a location they want to visit.
I went in on a slow Sunday around 4pm. It was a party of 5 adults, 2 toddlers, and 4 kids. In today’s economy with one income and 3 kids, we barely go out to eat. And we decided to join my husbands brother in dining out since the weather finally warmed up.
They no longer have the wrap and soup combo which was one of our favorites. The fries in the beginning were cold we didn’t want to complain and left it at that. My broccoli was hard along with my sons and again we didn’t complain. I was never told it was an up charge to order broccoli park or parm fries. It’s been so long since we dined in, I thought it was part of the option. Since we ate it, it was only right to pay for it so again we didn’t complain. The only Nelly was our server and she did a good job. Overall the food was good, not great but good and we enjoyed our milkshakes. The donuts were amazing.
However, What I didn’t appreciate was my son leaving behind his sunglasses on the table. We sat in the corner at the other side behind the wrap. A secluded private area. It was a slow shift. I called in the next day and no one had turned it in. The manager on duty said they throw belongings out. It was not a busy shift and I don’t understand why they would throw someone’s belongings out. I feel that for that they should compensate me for my belongings. I understand it’s my responsibility but it had been 1 day. I called first thing Monday morning. I tried calling various times Monday to see if maybe they could ask the team that worked that shift. I know sometimes they put things in the apron and can forget to turn it in or if the bus person is busy and Leaves it near a pos or somewhere. Unfortunately no one was honest enough to turn in my son’s raybans. He had been saving for a while to buy himself the blue and orange raybans. And the garbage part to me is just an excuse to keep the item for themselves. As a mother of 3 it was my responsibility to have remembered but things happen and it would have been nice to have it returned. Unfortunately this puts a sour taste in my mouth and I will not be dining in at this location anymore. I rather go to Secaucus or a different...
Read more08/2025 THANK YOU Red Robin!! Finally a $10 meal with burger fries and drink!!! I will be back as often as I can!
Now please open a new location in Paramus, NJ. We already lost the one near the Bergen mall and lost the Secaucus location as well. If you keep closing locations, I will have nowhere to buy Red Robin meals.
This Clifton location is a bit too far for to visit weekly. There is now free wifi but with no Internet connection? Not sure what that is all about? Cell connection is near zero on T-Mobile inside here.
12/24/2022 Please open a location in Paramus NJ again! You are the best, but Clifton is over an hour drive from me so I can only eat here once or twice a year instead of 15x per month in Paramus NJ. I spoke with the manager today and told him about this and the zero cellphone signal at this location. He said he would pass my concerns to upper management. The old Paramus location failed due to it being hidden from the highway. Almost nobody knew it was there. Needs to be inside a mall, in a mall parking lot where it is viewable to shoppers, or on a highway. ...

STILL NO FREE WIFI AFTER MORE THAN 1 YEAR! cellphone data speed & reception here is super weak, so it is crucial to provide free wifi to the guests, especially since service wait times can vary greatly at this location. Fix this ASAP management! Thanks!
Delicious! Good experince on this visit. Pros: Yummy burgers Yummy steak fries Unlimited fries Unlimited refills Good service Plenty of tables Plenty of parking Free parking No wait to be seated Outlets to charge phones at the bar
Cons: No free wifi Poor cellphone reception(no fault to management on poor signal, but no free wifi is 100% management fault)
Expensive! $17 with tip for a burger fries and drink is way too much! Should be $10.
Comment to the owner: Poor waitress is doubling as the bartender, making her job twice as hard since there were about 7 tables of customers and 6 people at the bar. They should hire more people to cover the dinning room.
No free wifi, or i could not find it where my table was. Normally i dont need wifi, but the cell reception where i sat was poor. And yes, i should just be eating while i am at lunch, but i wanted to watch a tv show while i ate and could not due to the poor cell data here...
