I hired ASA Stone to fabricate and install a $7,000 stone from Everest Marble. Unfortunately, the stone has absorbed moisture, resulting in visible damage.
After neither ASA Stone nor Everest Marble took responsibility, I consulted a stone specialist. ASA Stone did attempt to dry the moisture with a heat gun, but Everest Marble blamed the fabricator, and ASA Stone claimed it was the stone's fault.
After further consultations with other stone professionals, it became clear that the issue was due to improper sealing. They confirmed that this damage could have been avoided if the stone had been correctly sealed from the start.
Despite my numerous attempts to resolve this through texts, calls, and voicemails, I have been ignored by ASA Stone. While I understand that issues can arise, I believe it is the responsibility of the company to address and correct problems caused by improper workmanship.
As a real estate professional, I am particularly concerned about how this damage affects the value of my home, and I will need to replace the countertops. If this issue is not resolved, I will be left with no choice but to pursue legal action to recover the damages.
2/19/25 Final Update on ASA Stone & Everest Marble – No Resolution
Unfortunately, Walter Chacon of ASA Stone continues to ignore my concerns and has made no effort to correct the issue or offer any assistance. Despite multiple attempts to reach him via texts, calls, and voicemails, I have been completely disregarded.
The $7,000 quartzite installation remains damaged due to moisture absorption, an issue that multiple stone professionals have confirmed was caused by improper sealing during fabrication and installation. Everest Marble has also refused to take responsibility, leaving me with an unusable and costly mistake.
If you are considering working with ASA Stone or Everest Marble, be warned—they do not stand behind their work, take accountability, or offer any resolution when issues arise. I strongly recommend seeking a more reputable company to avoid the stress and financial loss I’ve...
Read moreWe were in the process of remodeling our kitchen and we were down to selecting our granite countertop. We shopped around at different places and when it was time to make a decision we picked ASA MARBLE & GRANITE INC. None of the other companies provided the option to come to our house to measure until they had a signed contract and down payment, which we honestly thought it was a turn off! Walter from ASA was the only one who took the time to come and measure without any form of contract. We selected the granite based on the pictures, when we had to give our deposit and got to see in person the piece of granite we had selected we changed our mind and without hesitation Walter gave us directions to the distributor to see all of our options and pick our piece. Even though he had already selected the piece we had said based on pictures, he was okay with us backing out and choosing something different. The day of the installation arrived, and we couldn’t be happier with ASA and their crew, they protected our home, and cleaned the area after they got finished. This company truly does excellent work, if you are undecided about which company to go to for granite and marble don’t hesitate to contact these guys, this company takes pride in their work! Our new kitchen looks amazing thanks to...
Read moreAwful quality, dishonest. Walter showed up on time and improperly installed stone on the bathtub and in the shower. The bathtub was literally off by more than half an inch. The niche installation was tilted inwards so the water literally puddles and is stuck. He did come back and partially try to fix the tub, although it's still off, but by less than during the initial installation. He also scratched the granite counter on the vanity and then claimed it wasn't him. His proof was a video that he took AFTER he left. I don't think he realized it was time stamped for the original video. Absolutely avoid this guy. I won't even get into the bait and...
