New Centre Park — Attraction in Clover

We looked up times for Centre Park splash pad on Monday Memorial day to see when we could go. It gave the dates & times so we loaded up the kids, drove there to find it closed!!! We saw other families there that were under the same impression.

Whomever runs the park should have updated their site to say closed; Monday, Memorial day! Also I'd like to put my two cents in this review. I'm sure that as little as Clover has to offer kids that the town should have put extra money into making the "Splash Pad" a bit more exciting for the community!!! I think they could have put more thought into the planning of this place. All that you have are water spouts coming from the ground. York, S.C. has out done us ONCE AGAIN!! Seriously Clover!!

City park and splash pad of York has mushrooms of different sizes with water falling down, poles with buckets of water spilling over the kids. Fire hydrants that the water runs through and more. What does Clover really have for the children to do; especially for the families that have no car and the only way to get around is to walk. When you google New Centre Park you read "Newest park and largest park @ 50 acres with soccer fields, tennis courts, concessions stands etc... As far as soccer & tennis fields that's great for those who can afford all the equipment you need to play the game. Clover needs to think about those people that don't have money to do these exciting activites. Come on Clover and do something that's more exciting than that thing you call a "splash pad!" Let me remind you; York has out done Clover...

I will no longer be returning to this “park”due to the uneasiness I feel as a POC. My last three visits were accompanied by either cops or sheriffs watching me. I’ve either sat in my car or was walking, and within 30 mins to an hour of being there, a sheriff randomly shows up.. I assumed a person on standby started calling them to come and see what a POC was doing at a park. As a result, I leave the park, and the insane part of it is, they leave once I leave. Today, I sat in my car, and a sheriff randomly shows up, facing me!! Like really?? I felt uncomfortable and decided to leave, and then they left. I have never experienced this anytime I’ve been to any other park, but clearly this place has...

This is a nice park for Clover. There are many options to choose from here. Including the pond to sit by or a walking trail to stroll down or even a frisbee course. They recently added a water pad but I'm really hoping for a pool and a bigger water area to be added in the future! Also, there are many town events held here to enjoy...
