In late April 2025 I had an opportunity to spend a few days to unwind in Cocoa Beach, FL. The Hilton Cocoa Beach is my favorite place to stay on the Space Coast, and I have reviewed it after several previous trips. The Hilton is my favorite for a few specific reasons. First, the hotel is right on the beach and offers superb views of launches from Cape Canaveral. Second, the Longboards Tiki Bar is a fantastic place to sit and enjoy frozen drinks and soft ocean breezes, and is immediately adjacent to the hotel. This visit offered the same satisfying combination of excitement and relaxation. On the first night, after enjoying a “Hurricane Mai Tai” at Longboards, I caught a night launch by walking down the boardwalk towards the beach with dozens of other enthusiasts and vacationers. We all watched and cheered as the SpaceX rocket roared into the sky accompanied by several sonic booms! As much as I enjoyed the show, the next few days were even better. Aside from a trip to Kennedy Space Center, the Longboards Tiki Bar retained its traditional status as “relaxation central”! Being able to sit under the thatched roof and sip boat drinks can be a great way to detach and decompress. They also had live entertainment on Friday and Saturday during my stay. These were two different solo acts playing guitar and both had a great vibe. Having live music really makes for a fun crowd too. The staff is really what makes Longboards so consistent. The bartenders are attentive and friendly. On this trip, I chose to sit at the tables and as chance would have it I had Angela as my waitress all three nights. Not only was she energetic and witty, her timing and anticipation always hit the mark. Her upbeat, fun loving personality made my experience a real pleasure! So heads up, Hilton management - Angela is a star! On a side note - if you happen to drive a Tesla or other electric vehicle. There are two chargers right in front of the hotel entrance with J1772 connectors, so most any EV can charge easily. Tesla owners - be sure to bring your J1772 adapters to use these chargers. It’s easy to recommend the Hilton Cocoa Beach and Longboards Tiki Bar. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Great location on Cocoa beach, lots of parking. We stayed in an ocean view room on the seventh floor (there are 7 floors) on the north side. We had a super view and saw a SpaceX night launch. Wow, lit up the sky! You could hear the roar. The beach was beautiful. We had some nice waves due to a hurricane that was 400 miles to the east. It had no weather impact other than the waves. I don't think I've ever seen so many people surfing before at Cocoa Beach! Beach area is very spacious, nice, and sandy. It's very easy to rent beach chairs and umbrellas, there are people to set them up for you, and rental cost was reasonable. You can rent for half or whole day. You can also rent boogies boards (rented one for two hours) and I think you can also rent surf boards. People helping at the beach were very helpful and nice, very easy rental process. We ate breakfast at the hotel and the breakfast buffet was super, definitely a great deal. You will make out better ordering the buffet versus individual items (unless you're just ordering coffee!). The omelet station was great! We ate dinner one night outside by the bar (server Isabelle was fantastic). One thing, if you order a hamburger and want it well done (no red inside), make sure you tell them so. Not a big deal but ours was not well done. Isabelle took care of us. We have stayed many times at this hotel in the past, including several wedding anniversaries. The hotel is undergoing a remodel and our room had been remodeled. We liked the remodeling, very comfortable bed and lots of places for digital connections. Only thing we found disappointing in the room was there were not enough rods to hang towels in the bathroom (just on the sliding shower door). The shower itself was very nice. Also, it would been nice to have a microwave in the room.

Excellent place to stay in Cocoa Beach. The staff in service at this hotel is excellent. Everyone from the front desk, to the restaurants and coffee shop was extremely friendly nice and you can’t ask for anything more. The rooms are very clean they’re kept up as well as they can be. This is not a brand new hotel so don’t expect shiny new everything. Again, they are very well kept up and very clean and that’s important especially right now in the times that we are living in. The location of the hotel is perfect very easy to get to many different areas. Plenty of parking, great outdoor patio bar deck restaurant. Prices are going to be a little bit more than other properties in the area but I feel it’s worth it. One thing to note about anyone who is a Hilton gold or diamond member, for me one of the most important benefits of being a gold and diamond member is the opportunity for a complementary breakfast. I couldn’t really find any other reviews with information about this. Breakfast as of December is available from a grab and go Starbucks style coffee shop, you can get a hot breakfast sandwich, yogurt or fruit cup, and a full coffee, mocha, cappuccino etc. per person for two. Saturday and Sunday morning you can have breakfast in the actual restaurant, however there is a seven dollar per person up charge for your eggs bacon potatoes sausage and waffles. I did stay here a couple years ago and they did have the breakfast complementary for everything at the Buffet. This is slightly disappointing, but every property is different, it’s definitely nice to have a grab and go option every single day and that is completely complementary. The pictures are from a oceanfront room, obviously not every room has these views but all views are decent.

This hotel is undergoing large scale renovations, which is squeezing the number of available rooms. I get that. The room I was forced to take was one of the 3 rooms on the third floor that are next to the lobby roof. That means you have a half window that starts about 4 feet off the ground. You can only see the sky when sitting in a chair or bed. It feels like a basement. The only reason I stay here is to get a large floor to ceiling window to look at the coast while drinking coffee in the morning. Those rooms are flat out unacceptable and should not be offered to anyone. The only reason to stay here is for the direct beach access. If you have any desire to sit out side and eat your own food or own enjoy your own drinks, you have to do it from your room. Their lounge has exclusive rights to providing food and beverages out side. The pool is small and just kinda tacked into the side of the building. The bar prices are expensive. Lastly, a note to Diamond members. It was like pulling teeth to get a 12 noon check out. And I mean asking for the manger type pulling teeth. I’m not staying here any more.

Update: 2 months later. Consistent. This time we experienced the beach and pool lounge/bar. Everyone was friendly and service was excellent. You are able to see launches from the Kennedy Space Center here. I recommend staying on a floor above the fourth. The room quality is better. From arrival to departure, 5 star service. Agents were welcoming upon arrival. The lobby, hallways, elevators and all walkways are clean. Plenty of parking. I experienced the restaurant for dinner. The scallops were cooked to perfection. Michelle was the host. She was very pleasant and provided a good recommendation. She checked the wine before serving. Loved that. Julio at the Gelato/Coffee shop was friendly and has a good vibe. The gelato was so good. They offer a variety of food with a wide budget range on site. I did not have the full beach experience on this visit. When I return in a few months, I will update. The room was small but nice. The bed was comfortable, but not what I am accustomed to at other Hilton's.

The hotel is very quiet in one sense. Cannot hear neighbors at all. However, there is a very low-pitched mechanical throbbing that is very noticeable and persistent. Our room, 513, was very nice, had windows on two sides and overlooked the beach. The bathroom was clean but followed the current hotel trend of a noisy sliding door that allows all bathroom sounds into the bedroom. This design must be from people who are solo travelers. The bed pillows were the one low spot in the room. Dreadful pillows, good mattress. The restaurants were friendly with very tasty food, served quickly. The coffee shop/ice cream shop in the lobby was a delight. Parking could be a challenge to find something close to the hotel, but we always found a spot somewhere. The pool was clean and the temperature was fine. The pool towels are small and very scratchy/rough. The beach area was clean, pleasant and large. There is a park to the south so a lot of open space that way.
