Update: We stayed here again and got breakfast. Michelle was our server and she was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, I did not get pics of the food, as we were incredibly hungry. We will be back again! So my wife and I were hungry from our rather tumultuous day of travel. We were tired and didn't want to go far, so we decided to stay and eat at our hotel. That was a great idea on our part! We walked in and were greeted and seated very quickly, as it was early in the evening and not really that busy. The restaurant was decorated very nicely and was very inviting. We decided on the giant pretzel for an appetizer and, for the entrées, she got the Salmon B.L.T. and I got the Cajun Mahi Street Tacos. I also got an alcoholic pineapple cider, which was very good The pretzel came out and was, indeed, giant! It was fluffy and warm, just like a pretzel should be because, as Chidi says, "if you're going to go out, it may as well be with a stomach full of warm pretzel! Yum yum!" The beer cheese was amazing as well! The entrées came out shortly after, and her sandwich was delicious! The bacon added a saltiness and the tzatziki sauce balanced it out nicely. My Tacos were spiced nicely and were flavorful. Any criticism would be the VERY HIGH salt level on the pretzel. You could flavor the nearby ocean with the amount of salt on that bad boy. We had to scrape it off with a knife. Overall, if we're in the area again, this would be a contender for dinner. It was a great meal, sans salt, and great servicea

We recently stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Cocoa Beach for a couple days before we got on a cruise. The Startlite Restaurant & Pool Bar is the restaurant at the hotel. On our first evening we decided to eat there because it was convenient. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. The menu, while not extensive, had some great looking offerings, all at very reasonable prices. This particular evening I opted for salmon, the wife had Tuscan Chicken (as I recall). Both were served with rice. Food delivery was a bit long. Probably between 15 and 20 minutes, but the food was hot and accurate when we got it. The salmon was 100% AMAZEBALLS. I've eaten a lot of salmon in a lot of places, and this is definitely in the top 5% For breakfast I was intrigued by the Chorizo Eggs Benedict. **I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED**. Oh My Freakin' Gawd, that was delicious! Starlite has a very open, breezy feeling to it. There's a lot of natural light (you are on the ocean), and the walls are decorated to make you feel outside and very...beach-y. The server pace, in our experience, was a bit laid back. I wouldn't suggest dining here if you're in a hurry and don't be too hopeful if you're looking for a drink refill and you're dying of thirst. I'm hoping to visit Starlite again some time, if only for the Chorizo Eggs Benedict. That is definitely a star maker!

Honestly a very disappointing experience. We were a bachelorette party and were so excited about this meal. It is was our final nice meal out of the trip. Our server was Jessica. Everything started all fine, everybody got their drinks. We got food orders in a little bit later and then we did not see her for a while. We glanced over and saw her in a corner clearly texting on her phone while a lot of of us needed water, refills, including our bride who had no water in her cup at all, and she was only drinking water. she finally turned around and I was able to get her attention. The food came out in waves, it did not come out together, and our bride was the last person to get her food when we were all probably halfway done with our meals. All of this was after we had been at the restaurant for an hour already. We were probably one of four tables in the restaurant and there are two or three servers on. I asked to speak to a manager who was very pleasant and understanding and offered to take our brides meal off of the bill. I asked that she take the auto gratuity off for obvious reasons. As I spoke with the manager, I was informed by other people at my table that she was standing behind me and laughing with one of her coworkers and pointing in my direction. We probably sat there for another 20 minutes waiting on our server to bring the checks to the table. When she finally brought the checks over, she began auctioning off the receipts, so I offered to just go ahead and pass them out for her so that we could finally get our day started being that we had spent the better part of the morning sitting in this restaurant when we could be beachside. I believe at this point she was probably just taking her time on purpose. Somebody in our party had their card declined because it was locked and she had forgotten. there was a waitress that came over about it, a different waitress, and was very aggressive when she let us know that. Once all of the cards were brought back to the table, my card, which was a MasterCard gift card was missing from the bunch. When I informed them I didn’t get my car back, the server said that was all of the cards I was given. I let her know that that would be impossible because how else would I have paid her for my food. They ended up finding it and we left promptly so we could finally get to enjoy the rest of our trip. Probably the worst service experience of my life. In coming from somebody who has worked in hospitality for a lot of her life, that means a lot. I would also like to add that our bride was very clearly dressed up in her bride to be sash, and this was not even acknowledged by the server. The food and drinks were very good, so I wouldn’t recommend staying away from the restaurant, just stay away...

So my experience at this restaurant was questionable.

I was pretty tired and hungry. I just wanted to find somewhere to eat and sleep. This review is only base on my experience with the restaurant.

The positive:

The space is beautiful. Whoever came up with the theme really did a fantastic job. I love the tables arrangements. It’s a perfect mixture of family, solo or couple spot. Absolutely stunning.

The drinks! I had the Pain in my coconut 5/5 and the spicy margarita 5/5. Both drinks were perfect.

Negative:

I had tried the following:

Brussels sprout 2/5 Lamb lollipops 2/5 Burger 4/5

Something that I noticed. The restaurant was not that busy to me. The hostess was doing double duty. The hostess was my server and trying to manage the front desk 🤨. I am used to going to a restaurant and the hostess will get the table started but never do both and it looked like that only applied to me. Alright. No big deal. She was decent.

I was told this restaurant was recognized for one of the best restaurant in the area so I was hopeful. In my opinion the food did not meet my expectations. It was subpar at best. I was hungry and I didn’t want to be difficult but I wished I spoke up more for myself.

One thing I hate is a liar.

Service was slow because the hostess can only do so much. I had ordered lamb and burger. Even though the lamb was order after burger. It came out first. I never touched the burger and I spoke with Skyler 🤥 and I asked him to removed the burger as I didn’t touch it. Dude seemed confused. According to him he never had that request before. That’s a lie. According to him he doesn’t feel like the restaurant should eat the cost. I asked him if that is the restaurant policy. He could not give me a clear answer 🤨. He didn’t offer an substitute. Nothing. The next day I asked another hostess same question I asked Skyler 🤥 and you know what she said ….. she said they would take it back if I didn’t touch the food. Lying Skyler 🤥! I knew he was making things up. Being the only black person in the restaurant I was not trying to make scene or felt safe to be more vocal. All I can say the entire experience smells fishy. Personally I don’t know if it would have been better to try local spots. Maybe I should have bought food via Ubereat.

I had food at the Wyndham resort and their food was delicious. For the way I was treated I would not go...
