Windmill dog park more like windmill bark because this park is a dog filled cesspool. This location has gone from a dog friendly location to a money-grubbing capitalistic dog kennel. yeah you heard me right if you want to get in that dog park section with all the nice things you're going to have to drop a dime, a membership kind of dime, the worst kind of dime. I also had an incident at this dog park, I had wanted to get myself a soda pop, and the machine took more money from me then warranted. Yeah you heard me right for a second time, the machines here not only like to take your money but when you call their customer support line they like to make you go straight to voicemail. Maybe they don't care about the small things in life or the small bits of change that one may lose from a vending machine, but it matters to me and that is all that should matter. Besides that the dog park is pretty okay and any bit of athleticism that you see around...
Read moreWe absolutely love windmill dog park! We are not Coconut Creek residence so we pay the $70 registration fee but we think it is completely worth it! We have peace of mind that all dogs are up to date on their shots and their is always a park ranger on the premises. The parks are beautiful, the most well maintained and shadiest dog park we’ve been able to find on the south Florida area. The large dog side has a ton of trees which provide amazing shade and the small dog side is pretty large (it almost feels larger than the large dog side). There is agility equipment on both sides which is fun if there aren’t any other dogs to play with. There are restrooms right outside the fence which is an amenity not found at most dog parks. There is also a shower stall in both the large and small side to hose your dog off which is nice on a hot day. We highly recommend this park to anyone who has a pup that loves to run and play...
Read moreHey, Anselmo Nascimento. The park has been closed for almost a year now. The park is undergoing a 2.4 million dollar renovation project for the entire park. The contractor has been on schedule except for some significant delays due to Hurricane Irma. Perhaps you remember that incident? It caused damage & set backs in the park's project. A 2.4 million dollar renovation cannot be completed in merely 4 weeks. The park is nearing completion, maybe you noticed it when you took the daunting trek from Pompano Beach to Coconut Creek. Nevertheless the park should be open soon. If you have access to a smartphone, you can access the City of Coconut Creek's Parks Department website for project details & updates. -...
