Delicious! Quality! Hospitable! Cheerful! AND dog-friendly! Superb cafe. For our first visit we brought our dog along on our morning walk and were delighted when he was invited in. It was clear Tarrazu values high quality from food and drinks to atmosphere as our barista, Jeff, was was forthcoming in both cordiality and pride in explaining their processes of coffee selection and roasting. He brought our dog a cup of water and a surprise "puppuccino", fresh homemade whipped cream. Us humans had cappuccino, which prompted the conversation about the beans which were honey processed from Costa Rica and locally roasted, giving the espresso a naturally sweet and vibrant flavor. We also tried "the bees knees", a special coffee drink with lavender and honey which was perfectly balanced in flavor and definitely giving a enticing nectar-like experience. We also tried the decaf coffee which was excellent - so a treasure to come across such satisfying decaffeinated coffee. We had one pastry, the vegan artichoke and kale. We're not vegan - even so, we wouldn't have guessed it was a vegan pastry as the pastry was a satisfying texture/moisture level balance and the filling was reminiscent of a quiche-like creaminess and seasoning with just a hint of nutmeg, I think. Stopped by Tarrazu Coffee seeking a spontaneous pick-me-up. It's about 10 minutes from me, so of course I pass by many other coffee shops before getting here. After my first experience, I look forward to coming back over the others! The coffee is delicious (I am kind of picky, too) and such a great value for the price. I had a chocolate croissant as well and the filling was so warm and yummy. The atmosphere is so inviting, nicely decorated and very very clean. The service was excellent as well; the staff were so friendly and pleasant and prepared my order quickly. I overhead a conversation between possibly the owner/manager and a customer (sorry wasn't intentionally trying to eavesdrop, I promise) and the owner was just so compassionate and reassuring to a fellow mama who had just started her child in school. In that moment I felt like she was also speaking to me, because I am in a similar boat with my baby. It was just so nice to hear an authentic and kind interaction, I had to thank her personally for the great experience there. This is a business I hope continues to prosper. Today was our first time visiting, and we loved everything about our experience at Tarrazu! I had the spiced brown sugar latte with macadamia milk and it was delicious! You can taste the quality of the coffee. My girlfriend loved the fruity, sweet, and creamy Pink Paradise. We also got the Brie sandwich and the Turkey Tango which were both so flavorful and filling. You can tell they have put a lot of thought into their menu items, and have options for everyone including vegan. I love that they also have a variety of high quality loose leaf teas.

The owners were so kind and welcoming, and their barista Gabby was excellent. You can tell that they really appreciate their customers and employees.

The atmosphere is perfect for meeting with friends, working/studying, or just relaxing. It is extremely clean, which I always appreciate as a customer.
