This is my home gym. Iām not real sure that Iām going to keep it as my home gym. There were multiple homeless people in the showers causing problems. I was naked & had soapy hair, so I called the front desk for help. Itās hard to enjoy the facilities with multiple people yelling, cursing, playing music out loud, and being hateful while youāre in a vulnerable position and worried they will steal your stuff because they keepāaccidentallyā moving the curtains around. One of the homeless ladies sounded like she was pleasuring herself very loudly in the shower. The front desk lady said she would ācheck it outā but she never came or did anything about it. After I asked for help, one of the ladies started talking about how she has a gun and how she shoots people. And again no one ever came back to help. And one of them kept peeking between the curtain & the wall at me naked. And Iām not talking once or twice, Iām talking repeatedly. When I went to wash my hands, they stood around me staring at me which is beyond uncomfortable. And it felt incredibly threatening. And again no one ever came to help. I ended up sitting in one of the stalls and had to wait for them to leave because no one ever came back to help.
Itās the 4th of July, so the staff probably donāt care as they just want to get off work early. But they chose to leave me alone and never checked up on the situation. Thatās never okay. Now it feels unsafe to be here anymore. When I was leaving, I noticed multiple homeless living in their cars in the parking lot. They arenāt there all the time, but often enough. One even has a generator running. This place really needs security or at least staff who care about your safety. If you want to sign up for planet fitness, Iād choose one of the other ones. A five or 10 minute drive to a different location could be a world of difference in your safety. Thereās no need to be treated like youāre disposable. Iām not dissing homeless people, not all are bad. But many are and these were some of them. And they will be back because the staff never came back to see or hear what they were doing. The staff had the perfect opportunity to remove people who cause issues, made the place feel unsafe, and acted like they stealā¦and staff chose to ignore it. So they will be back because they laughed about the staff never coming after I called. They thought it was funny. These are the same ladies that I have reported to staff before. Last time I was here, one of them went into the bathroom stall and flushed the toilet repeatedly. They are manual toilet and Iām not talking about flushing at three or four times. Iām talking about flushing it repeatedly the entire time I am showering to try to make the water cold. These are the same ladies I reported about a week ago because one of them kept looking in the gap between the curtain and the wall while I was changing. This part I donāt know for sure, but theyāre probably the ones who stole my charger. That happened about two weeks ago.
I know that this gym has had occasional issues with people stealing stuff out of the lockers even when theyāre locked, and people like this are probably the ones doing it. And for the staff not to care? With the way they have behaved, it feels like they are intentionally trying to runoff other patrons so that they can have the bathrooms to themselves. I know a couple months ago I was there on a Friday as they were closing down and there was a man working in the front desk. As I went to leave the locker room, I noticed a lady trying to hide in one of the stalls. I let the guy know as I left that there was a lady back there who appeared to be trying to hide. I understand being homeless, but hiding in the planet fitness so that they wonāt notice you when they close down itās messed up. So theyāve been at this for a while. It makes me wonder how many other patrons they have messed with who just never said anything. Or who said something and staff never did anything about it. Ā Ā Ā Read moreMalorie at the Airport location in Colorado Springs is the friendliest person that I've had contact with at any of the Planet Fitness locations. I would like to transfer my home gym to the Airport location from the Constitution location if this is a requirement with black card members. I've been to many locations as I travel and have dual residence in both Colorado and Arizona. My first encounter with Malorie was that she is friendly and multitasks extremely well. Gym is clean tanning beds are state of the art and cleaner and newer than any other location and yet the oldest location. She offered bagels and coffee and also mentioned they have pizza Fridays. The facility is set up architecturally well and the work out equipment in a position where workers can observe areas for any potential debries, injuries or unstocked clean stations not to mention offering advice or help needed for use of equipment. This is the first gym that did not have a notice of non working equipment that I've attended. I give this location a 5 star due to the friendly staff team member named Malorie and cleanliness of the entire gym. Floors were clean in all areas the total body was very clean with no stain marks and voice recognition in working condition. The tanning beds are 54 staggered light round plexi glass stand up units that even my 6 ft 7 husband can fit in with 4 vertical bars a fan that works well and a hold bar for balance and exercise. He even raved on the dynamics there as he works very large commercial construction. The dim lighting is calming and even have a mirror which other locations don't they have clothing hooks and a chair and dressing area that are nice and have calm lighting. Not one hair or piece of lent all bulbs were same brightness. There were several members in attendance on this morning, with a positive person that makes everyone feel welcomed it helps those that "fall off the work out wagon" I intend to make the Airport location my new home gym. I've been to all three locations. Constitution I will rate a 1.5 star. I've observed two people in tanning rooms at one time. Smudges on glass, staff drama, unstocked spray bottles, paper towels and even toilet paper as well as what appears to be a large turn over and dirty circuit training areas. The massage and tanning areas are across the facility and cause them to rush to clean beds which are still dirty anyway. Austin bluffs location I would rate as 3.5 due to staff frequently eating in the work area and I've always observed employee's sitting at the break tables or discussing other employees where gym members can hear exiting the facility, don't get me wrong they are also prompt and friendly and fairly clean however these two locations always have more than one staff at desk where as the Airport location only had the one helpful employee at desk and others cleaning. I'm a retired professional and feel a great attitude and clean place will always bring customers back. Hats off to employee Malorie at Planet Fitness for her professionalism, phone etiquette, kind mannerism, personable attitude and over all professional disposition. I would hope to see more employees have this kind of work ethic. Because of the one encounter with this individual, I am feeling more positive to frequent the gym daily as my husband works in the springs and we live in woodland park and hour away just because that one person made a difference in my opinion of going to the "dreadful gym" I am currently calling myself a work in progress retired at 43 I put on a few pounds and easily fall off track when I'm not comfortable about my surroundings. I think I would call this loss of motivation. Malorie would be a great trainer for new hires. Now if the other locations ran and looked like the Airport location I would have stopped more over the last 2 years instead of drive bye it. TERRIBLE customer service by supervisors, both at this location as well as the customer service number when you try to speak to someone from corporate. I've been a member since 2015, never had an issue with payments, and most recently experienced from fraud issues with my account resulting in Planet Fitness's payment and annual fees not going through when they should have. First, I was given wrong information on when my annual fee would be deducted so without them informing me of the issue, I didn't know there was one. Although I'm signed up for text alerts, they have my email and phone number, and I've been in both this location and the one off of Constitution MULTIPLE TIMES, not a single person ever reached out to me until ALMOST A MONTH LATER when I'm told I cannot use the facilities until I pay in full. Due to my fraud issue, I didn't have a new card yet and I didn't have a lot of cash on me. NO ONE offered paying a partial amount until I could come back with the rest until I called two different places after I left and drove back home across town and had to rush getting ready for work to drive all the way back to that side of town. I left a voicemail for Christine Nelson who I'm told is the only supervisor at the corporate office who could assist with my issue. It's been nearly a week and still no call back. I go in to just cancel my membership today and I'm given contradictory information yet again, and am forced to pay the 40.00 annual fee since I'm cancelling on the 26th and "you need to cancel before the 25th." Katie, a supervisor I'm told, offered no solutions, just passed the buck on them being a franchise and having no control over policies, she implied I was lying when I informed her the notes an employee left on my account were incorrect by saying "I'm sorry YOU SAY they said that." Aisha and Gabby at the Airport location are even worse than her. Neither of them greeted me when I came in both times today, when I voiced my experiences and want to cancel due to those experiences neither of them offered any type of empathy or want in retaining me as a member. Everyone I have spoken with just points the finger, makes excuses, empty promises and couldn't care less if you're mistreated. Just pay them and get out of their face so they can continue to gossip, walk around aimlessly, play on their phones and pretend to clean....
