Mariscos Altamar #2 — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

myself, my partner, and their parents dined in this restaurant this past week. while we were eating, we were not satisfied with the food. we ordered the botaneros oysters for our appetizer, along with two shrimp alfredos, a chef special, and a special campechana for our meals. while i do admit that we are in a landlocked state and seafood cannot always be trusted, i still firmly believe that if you call yourself a reputable seafood restaurant then the seafood quality should be better. that same night after dining there i started to feel sick, and all i had was the shrimp alfredo. a day later, my partner and their parents started getting sick, to the point where they were all bedridden and unable to go to work, events, etc. im feeling fine now, but i was the only one who did not eat the oysters/ other seafood. tldr, if you plan on eating here, think twice about ordering the oysters or any other...

Reading all the reviews they CAN’T be talking about this place. My husband and I went in on August 15. We were the very first and only people in there and we we waited what seemed to be well over an hour to get our food. Other customers kept walking in after we ordered our drinks and as soon as they sat down and ordered it’s like their food came out instantly while we were still waiting on our order which is simple as hell and order at every single Mexican restaurant we go to. When we got it we both tried our food and we ended paying for food we didn’t eat because it was disgusting and cold as hell.

The waitress wasn’t all bad she definitely tended to other tables more than she came to ours. And I gave it a one star because the drink we got was the only good thing...

The food was not impressive and the service was horrible, there were three different waitresses that came to our table and not a single one seemed like she knew what she was doing. We were brought the wrong items, things didn’t get brought to us, there was a long wait time but the restaurant was mostly empty, after we finally got everything we had ordered they didn’t come to the table once to take plates or see if we needed refills. When one finally came to our thanks it was to give us the receipt, which was miraculously correct.
