I had an amazing experience at the University of Missouri Columbia. It is one of the best universities this side of the Mississippi, with a reputation of excellence in teaching and research. It is the first public university west of the Mississippi River and the flagship campus of the four-campus University of Missouri System. It offers more than 280 degree programs, including many that are nationally ranked, such as journalism, dispute resolution, family and community medicine, and more. It is also one of only six public universities in the country with medicine, veterinary medicine and law all on one campus, which gives students a lot of opportunities to learn and collaborate across disciplines. The campus is beautiful and vibrant, with a lot of history and traditions. The faculty and staff are friendly and supportive, and the student body is diverse and engaged. I made lifelong friends and connections at Mizzou, and I am proud to be a Tiger. I highly recommend the University of Missouri Columbia to anyone who wants a quality education and a memorable...
Read moreI want to start by stating that this hospital was not my first choice, but as my daughter needed immediate attention, I went along with the er staff from 2 different hospitals. Everyone swore this was the best place to have her treated. Total lie! This experience has been the absolute worst! They have barely treated her for what's wrong, there is no communication amongst staff-doctors, nurses, or otherwise. I have to tell them what to give her and how to take care of her. This is suppose to be a top rated hospital and I have not seen anything that leads me to believe that. I've been to many hospitals in my 30+ years of life and this is by far, top 3 worst ever! I'll sit in a hospital for weeks if need be to ensure my kids are taken care of. But taken care of is the important part here and clearly, that's not the top priority for those who work here. I will say there were a couple people who tried their best, but the bad beyond out weighed the...
Read moreI'm finishing my first semester as a distance student and it has been very frustrating! One class changed from a 1 credit course to a 3 credit course right before school started. This made the semester much more expensive than anticipated. Shortly before registration they changed the immunization policy, and my records were lost when my home flooded. It has been a nightmare trying to find somewhere they might be. And one of my teachers was unable to post to Blackboard, the program they use for online classes, for the first several weeks of class. By the time coursework actually started it was past the drop date, so I am stuck in a class that I would have really rather dropped. I expected more from a school with a reputation...
