I heard good things about this location and so set an appointment to have my son's hair cut and ensured that a contact number was put down should anything arise and I needed to reschedule. I had to tend to my business/ work and so my mother took my son in my place. She called me upset and I was very disappointed to hear how she and my son were treated at this location.
She explained to me that she arrived to find out that the stylist who was supposed to cut my son's hair called off and even though my phone number was listed I was not notified. The stylist available stated that they called to inform me but I received no missed calls and I made sure that my 'work focus'/ 'do not disturb' was turned off in the event that I was needed. If I had known the stylist was not available I would not have had my mother waste her time and I would have employed my husband to set up an appointment with his personal barber.
The stylist available told my mother that they could wait as there was a child in the chair. The stylist also stated that my son would go after the child she currently had in the chair. My son was really excited to get his hair cut so they waited. After having multiple customers come in and be seen while my child and mother were still waiting they decided to leave. Not only did the stylist skip over a customer she told would be next but she kept doing so and when she noticed my mother and son still waiting said, "Oh, I will squeeze you in." While my mother was explaining this to me on the phone I could hear my disappointed son asking why he could not get his hair cut but the other kids could.
If the stylist had not been so rude and done a better job explaining I would have considered rescheduling on a day I would be free and could take my son in personally but I will not be giving this business another chance nor will I recommend them. Read moreI went to your location on Morse Rd in Columbus OH. I was there at 9:30am when doors are supposed to open according to the hours of operation sign on the door. Stylist did not unlock door until 9:35. We did not have an appointment, we were walk-ins. Get to the counter to check in hoping as no other customers were there they could squeeze us in real quick. I was told even though the door says they open at 9:30, they infact don't ACTUALLY open until 9:40. And that even though I was there at 9:30 I had to wait until 9:45 to see if the first appointment shows up. My son gets a buzz on the sides and a short trim on the top with scidsor, takes no longer than 10-15 min. While waiting one of the stylists got loud with a customer on the phone, not professional by any means. Needless to say I'm very unhappy with the level of service at this location. If they don't really open until 9:40 why put 9:30 on your hours?! Also if you don't take walk-ins until AFTER 9:40 it should be posted. I wasted my time waiting for a hair cut that would have cost me $30 with tip. I left and gave my business to great clips, not only were they very accommodating and got us right in after hearing about our service at cookie cutters, I only paid $11 including tip for my son's hair cut. When I went to the front desk to check in, I almost walked out due to the interaction with the lady at the desk. I called ahead of time for an appointment and upon arrival I was told I had not scheduled an appointment. That all the appointments starting at 3:20 had started and I wasn’t one of them. I had to show her on my phone that I called the correct location and she asked the staff who took my call. The woman who took my call walked over and let me know it must be a glitch but they would get us in. The woman who cut my sons hair, Kristen, was amazing. This is my sons second hair cut, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. He didn’t cry once, and was very entertained by Kristen. The rest of the staff seem very friendly. Netflix for the kids is pretty cool. The biggest downfall was probably the pricing, $16 for a kids cut, that didn’t even take 7 mins is crazy.
