I LOVE that my husband and I were able to have our wedding reception in the Cardinal Health Ballroom at The Lincoln Theatre. We’ve sung on the stage with a local performance group several times, so the place already had meaning. Now, it means so much more!

WHY WE PICKED THE LINCOLN THEATRE We picked The Lincoln Theatre for sentimental reasons. Also, it is one of the best priced wedding reception venues in Columbus that we found.

There were no add on fees for dance floors or up-lighting. And we were able to use the gobo projector for no additional charge.

CATERING AND DRINKS There was NO CATERING SURCHARGE for bringing in our own caterer. We were told that deli and veggie trays prepared at Giant Eagle are fine to bring in. This was definitely a budget-friendly option.

Drinks and alcohol must be served by CAPA, but again, there is no additional surcharge or hidden fees. The prices for the drinks are provided in advance.

ABOUT THE BALLROOM The Cardinal Health Ballroom comfortably accommodated our 120 wedding guests, and there was plenty of room to move around the tables. There was also ample room for dancing in front of the ballroom’s stage.

COMMUNICATION AND STAFF Other reviews have noted that communication with the Lincoln staff can be iffy. We did experience delays in responses; however, Kevin provided all of the information we needed. We scheduled two tours of the venue with him.

Kevin was there when we decorated, and I was told he was there before the reception began in order to make sure everything was running smoothly. A different staff member was there throughout the reception and cleanup time. He was a tremendous help!

WHAT OUR GUESTS THOUGHT They loved the space! They thought the venue itself was unique, and they especially loved why we...

What a beautiful theater! I sat in the orchestra. There are about 4 steps to access orchestra. There are stairs all throughout orchestra but they are not too deep so if you can navigate shallow stairs, you should be alright. I struggle with knee issues and vertigo and I did fine. There is also a banister. As a plus size theatre lover, the seats are great! They are wider than standard so sitting in them was not painful. And there is leg room!

Parking on site! And it's free! Get there early though because it is limited. The is a policeman/security guy who assists with crossing the street from the parking area to the theatre.

Snacks and alcohol and drinks are served. They take cash and credit cards.

The bathroom is clean and accessible, the are at least 10 stalls but during intermission you will have to wait. Try to get out there ASAP if you really need to go.

I took my niece to see the SpongeBob SquarePants Musical. I can't say I liked it lol but it wasn't really...

I would not go back. I was 10 minutes late to an event for my granddaughter as her twin had an event right before this one. I arrived and bought 3 tickets only to find that there were no seats on the main floor. I proceeded to the balcony and was told by the usher that it was only for the performers. I was also told this by the usher in the lobby. I had 2 small grandchildren with me and did not want to stand for the whole performance as they would not be able to see. I went and got my money back and left. On my way home, my daughter texted me and said they were sitting in the balcony. I qould not go back, as the facility knew there was no more room, why would they have not made the plan to use part of the balcony beforehand...no contingency plan! The raring is do a...

It’s always a delight visiting the Lincoln theater or Lincoln District especially because now they have added the worlds or Americas first black owned bank right in the inner city. I think it’s fantastic from the Lincoln Café to the Lincoln theater. Just so many things in walking distance to enjoying the wall of Ohio natives that have made a difference in our city. It’s just developed into such a wonderful neighborhood. To walk bike or visit the Cibar #UEWE #AdrianScott #ADRIANNSCOTT #AdrianCota #rideeatsdrive

I read a few reviews before my first time visiting, about how cosy this place is and how close everyone is to the stage. It is absolutely true! The decor is beautiful and I cannot stress how I love the free (and hassle-free) parking at the lots surrounding the theater! The staff and ushers were great and the bathrooms are the most systematic I've seen, with a separate entry and exit door that makes waiting in line SO much less of a pain.
