Years ago my wife and I made regular trips between Missouri/Illinois and the east coast. One of our favorite stops along the way was German Village in Columbus, Ohio. We always spent a few hours to explore the Golden Hobby Shop, and the Book Loft. We always ended up with large bags of hand crafted items and books both for ourselves and as gifts for family and friends. Our trips were usually in the summer and we would stop on both directions of our trip. The people of the Golden Hobby Shop were always friendly and helpful. There was a volunteer who explained the shop as we walked in- Ohio seniors hand make all of the items themselves and set their own prices. I can’t believe the selection! Typical crafts such as quilts and scarves, but lots of other hand made items as well! We bought socks and a crochet Pokémon- so unique I would’ve never expected to see something like that there.
