people go to the salon to relax, vent, gain confidence, and get away from stress in their life. this just added to my stress and made me insecure about my hair. let me just say she had me staring at other people getting their hair done the WHOLE time which is very awkward, it felt like she was nervous and didn’t want me to see what she was doing to my hair. she seemed very hostile and didn’t once try to start a conversation with me which is crazy for me to sit in a chair for a total of 16 hours ( had to come back to get it fixed)with no one to talk to. she never told me what she was doing to my hair i had to ask because her placement of the dye seemed like she had no type of outline or structure. when i went to pay she said it was almost 100$ more than what she quoted me for which i questioned. got notified i was overcharged 60$ by accident, i was understanding because mistakes happen, they said i would be getting a refund. she did say if i wanted anything to be fixed to let her know so i did once i got home a realized how bad it rly was. i was holding back tears the whole time and needed to leave before i flipped out. we scheduled a appointment to fix it, i didn’t even want her to touch my hair again but i was not trying to pay a another 400$ or more if i can get it fixed for free. i tell her the darker pieces are uneven, random, and kind-of chunky, she added a dark toner or dye back over my roots she just bleached making it look like my dark roots are even longer at this point. this appt goes just like the previous maybe even worse since she had to remove dark dye from the huge chunks that were put in, which left a orange blotchy color,i get left with no towel for like 20 min just dripping water over myself, i kept getting hit with my own hair in my eyes, hit with a round brush, the only explanation is she is trying to waste both of our time or is high nobody is that slow for no reason. i even ask to brush my own hair at one point because she kept brushing my hair from the roots down with barley any conditioner w a fine tooth comb. 2 weeks later i still haven’t got my refund for the $60 UPDATED REPLY TO RENDEZVOUS: the way your trying to justify the way i feel is wild to me.nothing was said because this is obviously a training issue and i didn’t want to hurt the stylist feelings.not to mention i didn’t see my hair until 9:00 pm which is when you close, i was also never shown the back of my head until i was asked to send a picture and saw the atrocity. i take it you never saw the pictures because NO person would be happy walking out of a salon looking like that. i don’t get how the other stylist could remember from a year ago that i was “quiet”. i barely remember but i know we had more dialogue than it being straight silent the whole time. it’s not my job as a customer to start a conversation, i am the type where if i don’t feel welcomed im not going to keep yapping and feel like a burden, i sat in the lobby for at least 20 mins without anyone greeting me or letting me know if my stylist was even there. i assumed it would cost more and am fine with being charged for extra product. i am talking about how i was overcharged $63 and never was told i was refunded to a different card, when that card was used to place a free consultation and paid w/ a complete different card w/ my name. that extra product didn’t even need to be used because she applied dye right over the bleach. my hair is only fixed where i part my hair if it lays any different way it’s dark roots and there’s a big drop off in the back of just straight dark roots. people need to know this is not really the best salon in Columbus. i was never once reassured about anything during my appointment you should be training your employees like how you respond to reviews.i had other options i showed at the consultation and my stylist didn’t advise me of anything. i was open to suggestions. im sorry for the “offensive” comment. im sure they have things they specialize in but if their were doubts about my hair i should...
Read moreStaff was nice and friendly, I had Courtey and she was sweet, but i feel like she was not listening to what i wanted. I wanted to go lighter and just dye my whole head, she convinced we to not do that, i went for a consulation earlier and told her what i wanted and showed her a picture, she said it wouldn't be a problem and it should be achievable, i told her what types of product and dye my hair already had. On the actual day, she did highlights and i could tell it was not enough for the look i wanted and was already worried, i wanted a light brown caramel all over my head, when she washed my hair, she said that it was hard to get rid of some red that was on my hair, like a stain. I honestly didnt mind it, because i had curly hair and i thought it would look cute and told her it was fine. It seemed that the streak bothered her more than me and said she wouldn't be able to do what i wanted. I told her it was fine, that i just wanted to go lighter, maybe a light chocolate brown all over my head. Again, courtney brushed off what i wanted and i understand that she wanted my hair to look its best and that problems arise, it cant be helped, but she honestly was not listening to what i wanted. After a long session of hair washing, she ended up putting a darker color on me to "hide" the streaks, which i did not like. I told her that i do NOT want to go darker or look like i got nothing done. She assured me that it was not going to look like that and that i would get a nice chocolate color. I was dissapointed and ended up agreeing since she seemed adamant to go that route. I was her only client that day and feel like she was in a rush and gave up after she saw the red stain on my hair. I ended up with this weird dark brown color, similar to my natuarl hair and these random streaks of light highlights that did not look good at all. I also ended with like a black color on my ends. I was fighting back tears because it is not what i wanted at all. My hair honestly looks massacred. I really wanted to like this place and leave a good review, but i am honestly dissapointed with the outcome. Courtney is really sweet, great personality, but i wish she would of just listened to me more. I would like to give this place a second chance, but im hesitant. I spent $190 to...
Read moreWORST HAIR SALON IN COLUMBUS. This is actually my first time writing a review for any place i’ve ever been to in my life but I feel like after the emotional distress this place has caused me, I don’t want it to happen to anyone else. I have been going to Rendezvous for coming on 3 years now and have had the same stylist throughout to work with my hair extentions. My hairstylist ended up ghosting me when I tried making another appointment and so I called the salon to where THEY informed me that my hairstylist has changed jobs. It would have been nice for my hair stylist who I trusted to tell me that information before randomly leaving on me so I can find someone new to do my hair because for the people who know about hair extentions, you can’t let them grow out too long. The salon then had to go into damage control and find me someone new to fix their ex-employee’s mistakes which they did reluctantly. They were able to get me in for a consultation with a new stylist 2 weeks after making that phone call. I went in, just for her to tell me “I don’t know why they even had you come in, I don’t work with these extentions.” I left feeling so defeated because now I have to find a new salon who can not only get me in for a consultation but then to also book me to get them moved up. A few minutes after leaving the salon they texted me informing me that they do have someone that can work with my extentions. I then came in for ANOTHER consultation that went great! Only problem is they tried charging me a very ridiculous price for a move up. So for the people who have weft extentions know it should not cost 370 dollars for a move up every 8 weeks. I know this salon tried taking advantage of me. They knew how badly I needed a lift up and they knew I couldn’t go anywhere else since not many people work with extentions. After this experience with the salon I left sobbing and so confused. How can a salon treat their clients like this? How can a owner EMPLOY people who don’t care about their clients? I don’t know what else to do but write a review to inform people that this salon only cares about money and business and if you want to be treated right they should go somewhere else. Out of the many hair salon’s i’ve been to in my life, i have never been let down...
