Sawmill Florist — Attraction in Columbus

I was HIGHLY satisfied with Sawmil florist. I had my wedding recently and my theme was wildflowers and pastel colors. I spent so long trying to find a place to do my flowers and so many other florists made it so complicated and expensive for NO REASON. I last minute called Sawmill florist after almost losing hope and they were AMAZING. The experience was soooo simple I literally talked to her on the phone asking for a bouquet and some extra flowers to put on my cake. Even she was the one who offered to add a boutonniere to match my bouquet. She asked me to text her my inspo pictures and that was literally it. When I went to go pick it up my jaw was on the FLOOR. I did not expect it to turn out even BETTER than my inspo pictures. Even the boutonniere is so freaking cute. It’s like a mini version of my bouquet…. Hello?? Switched to them for my flower needs because I think they had a little better cost to value. However; my second order that I wanted delivered as a surprise, they called ahead and talked to the recipient. Basically, taking away the whole surprise of her opening the door to flowers. Most times I order flowers, it's a surprise and unexpected. When I was asked if it was for a special occasion, I said there was no special occasion, just wanted to surprise my fiance. After delivery, I called to ask about their notification policy. They said I, as the customer, had to let them know it was a surprise.... I respect them wanting to be efficient and trying to make sure the person will be present but come on! Make it a part of your process to ask if it's a surprise and when will the person will be present. I am heart broken My grandson was born today in Dublin Ohio. I ordered flowers to be sent to the hospital and was assured they would be delivered to day. They were not delivered. Some one from the florist even called me back to say my daughter in law wasn't in a room yet but they would delivered them to the maternity floor and would be taken to her room when she was out of recovery. I am so upset disappointed , angry, frustrated ,I trusted this florist to do a very important and special thing for my family at this joyous occasion and I am more than disturbed.
