Meridian Day Spa — Attraction in Commerce

Horrible customer service. Been here a few times now and staff has been friendly and helpful before but not tonight. The lady at the front desk (on Wednesday night 3/14/18) was rude and threatened to charge my card when I was upset at the bait and switch I was given. I had bought a Groupon a couple years ago for a special deal and was denied by Meridian to use it because they sold out on that deal. Really?

All this because of an expired $79 Groupon I bought a couple years back (right before I was pregnant & delivered my baby). The deal I bought the Groupon for was sold out but we were not told until after the purchase. So I lose $79 because you could only accommodate so many people and deny the deal for rest of us? I was told to come back for any service and use it since the cash value on it is still good. No refund given by Groupon so I had no choice but to hold on to it until the next good deal. Fast forward to today, I called to set up a reservation, for tonight, for the $95 massage/facial special. Cool, I can finally use my cash right?

I reserved also stating I would be using my expired Groupon value since it states the purchased amount on it is still valid to use. I was not told I could not use it. I was not corrected. Had I been told No, I would still be upset but I would not have booked the services or just booked the massage. I have a new baby and do not have much time or money to go out. They (tonight's manager via phone) claimed I could not use a coupon with a coupon. An expired Groupon is not a coupon. NO DISCOUNTS were ever given or applied here. It's straight cash.

The fact that I was treated rudely and swindled out of my money by being forced to pay AGAIN for the services originally booked as a combo. Twice now. NO deal.

So they gave me 10% off the 2nd service after using My Groupon to pay for 1 service and was forced to pay the 2nd one at full price. 10% off is taxes. How is this a discount?

I still tipped the ladies that provided my services because I enjoyed my massage and facial. I wouldn't deny them their well earned tips. However, my afterglow was marred by a business that does not know how to treat their customers. A shame too. I...

Meridian spa is very reminiscence of a Korean spa but with a pretentious fancy facade. I can't fault them on their decor, as it requires a few photo opts with the upside down tree that is suppose to act as a chandelier. The interior designer gets a A+ but whoever the manager is needs to really double and triple check on the quality of everything else !

I walked into a room upstairs to lay on a typical massage bed that seemed to be the ones massage students use to practice on. The room was freezing cold and the 3 different sheets that were suppose to act as"blankets" did nothing to make the goosebumps on my body go away.

A huge no no in massage 101, is to have a Cold hand touch your warm naked body as you lie there naked in the freezing cold room.

I didn't understand the process of lifting every single THIN sheet up one at a time wasting about 2.5 minutes each time of my precious massage moment! I sound annoyed right? Well , tell me how you would react when you have goosebumps all over your body! How can I be relax in a cold ass room with cold ass hands rubbing you down with cold ass massage lotions? When the shaking body wasn't giving her a clue i was cold, I decided to say it out loud... She than added on with another thin ass sheet that added on to my sheet...

I went to this spa for the first time and it was nice, big, clean spa area with all the amenities needed. I had a great massage so relaxing wish it was longer. I like everything about this spa but one it’s inside the casino so you have to park far and walk by all the people smoking before you enter to the spa area. Secondly, the spa area had lovely music on like I was listening to a ballroom dance. The front desk lady was sweet to accommodate and change the music upon my request but then the other option was lively jazz music. Later on she said because it’s inside a casino they play music that they hear at the front reception. Well that’s the only thing that I didn’t like nor enjoy.
