I've never personally purchased any items from our local ABC Warehouse but my parents bought me a car starter for my vehicle for Christmas. Let's start with TRYING to make the appointment to get the car starter installed. I called, was transferred to the car/audio dept. and was then kept on hold for over five minutes. I finally hung up and called right back, again being transferred and again, on hold for over five minutes to I gave up that day.
I went in the following day to make the appointment in person and, after the manager paging an associate to the car/audio dept., I stood there waiting for over 10 minutes until someone finally asked me if anyone had assisted me, only due to the fact that I had to leave the dept. to flag someone down. Not to mention, during those 10 minutes, an associate walked past me, on their cell phone, looked at me and kept walking, not asking me if I needed helped or had been helped.
I eventually got the car installation scheduled and went in this past Wed. It took about the amount of time the guy said it would, I picked it up and everything seemed to work fine until I got in the car and notice they hadn't completely sealed the comparement directly above the steering wheel. No big deal, I snapped it back into place, but it's a touch unprofessional to leave it open like that.
The following morning I started the car because I had to run some errands, after about 10 minutes, I went out to my car and when I opened the door I noticed a clicking sound. My friend told me that my hazard lights were flashing and then, I noticed, they were flashing on the inside on the dashboard too. Even after I turned the car off, they still kept clicking. We immediately took the car out to ABC Warehouse to make an appointment for them to check it out and see what was going on, we made the appointment for two days later on Friday.
Friday came around and we went to get the starter looked at. My mother, friend and I said we would wait because we figured it probably wouldn't take but maybe 20-25 minutes. We ended up waiting in the store for over an hour, never getting any type of update while we were sitting there on the progress. The guy came out and said he fixed the problem and we left. Well, the other night at work, I started my car before locking up and going out to my car, once I opened the door I heard the clicking sound again, but this time, my hazard lights weren't flashing on and off. I turned the car off and the sound continued, then I turned the car on and 1/3 of my drive home the clicking continued. I luckily thought to pull out my cell phone and record each incident of the clicking noise when the car was standing still, turned off and when I was driving to show it wouldn't quit. I just got off the phone with ABC Warehouse to make a final appointment to get the car starter completely uninstalled and a full refund.
In the end, I recommend not buying anything from ABC Warehouse. Yes, I understand I could of had a one time bad experience and most people would say to give them another chance, but they had their chance. I came in to get the problem fixed.. and it still isn't fixed. Not to mention, no one checked on me at any of the numerous visits at the store to see if I was finding everything okay - all the associates were too busy playing or talking on their cell phones, ON the sales floor. They're completely unprofessional and not customer service oriented at all. And yes, I do know that by me not shopping there won't put them out of business, and I'm not saying people should try to, but I personally will not spend one more dollar or minute in any of their...
Read moreFor over a month I have been trying to get a double den and back up camera installed. Called got price ordered parts waited on the call I was told I would receive when parts arrived. I ended up calling to check status after 3 weeks and the parts had been sitting there. So I’m irritated but I scheduled the installation call back to ask time frame day before appointment to plan accordingly and is told it has to be rescheduled and as I’ve been waiting a month now Am a little ticked I am verifying all info and the price jumps 200 dollars. I requested the manager I booked with originally and he assures me that isn’t the correct price and what I was told originally was correct. I then reschedule. Fast forward 4 Days after a long 16 hour shift and a nap in my car I arrive at my appointment to being called as I’m walking in to needing to reschedule again because the installer(the only one they have) is on vacation. I’m rescheduled for two days later taking two cars so I’m not stuck there to arrive and told they don’t have the installer again. I requested the parts I paid for and get attitude because so. Read moreI bought a washer before closing on Sunday...got it home hooked it up....pump is cracked....I call ABC Wearhouse 10:03 Monday morning when they open...I was given a # to call cuz apparently for them to take it back I gotta go through all these steps....it hasn't even been 24hrs mind you & this washer has not seen it's 1st load... apparently there has to be a "paper trail" as the manager put it to me. So I called his #, they wanna send a tech out...Four days later!!...okay done....call them back....techs report said "advise returning due to part availability"....I called ABC Wearhouse back..."will u take it now, I came in needing a Washer on Sunday.... Literally told sales man....I need something today".... It's now Saturday... almost a WK later and I have a $1199 trash can in my kitchen and had to rent a washer from RCA cuz I can't get the washer I bought replaced or my money back. Very sad and not understanding why I'm being put out like This when it hadn't been 24hrs since I paid for it & let them know there was an issue. I also have chronic anxiety so not only has my pocket took a hit here so has my mental state....thanks...
