Lock Sixteen Steakhouse — Restaurant in Ohio

I stopped in there to eat lunch by myself between medical appointments. I was looking for all soft foods because I have dentures. I ordered the meatloaf a baked sweet potato and steamed veggies. They bring out a small appetizer of raw vegetables and I told her right if she sat it down that I can't eat those because I'm just not able to chew them. When she brought the steamed vegetables out with my meal I use clean fork and check to see if they were tender enough. They weren't. She took them back to the kitchen to have them steamed longer and when she brought them back they were a little bit more tender but not much and I still couldn't eat them. I tried to eat some of the cauliflower but when I pulled the cauliflower out of the dish it was moldy. The meatloaf was pretty good except for a couple of bites that tasted like the meat was starting to go bad. The baked sweet potato was good with the cinnamon honey butter. The garlic bread was good. Within a half hour after eating, my stomach was in knots. I was on the toilet five times over the next 3 hours. I felt like I was going to throw up but I didn't. The waitress was fantastic. She was very polite and attentive. I think her name was Dominique. That was my first and probably last time...

Love this place! Recently moved here from Texas with my boyfriend. We had plans to eat at Texas Roadhouse but there was a two hour wait! So we Google searched steak house and this place popped up. I called ahead and they said it would be a 25 minute wait but we were ok with that. However we arrived and were instantly seated. The customer service was great! I wish we had gotten the servers name but she was awesome and very attentive. We loved the veggie plate that they bring you when you first sit down. It's definitely not as good as Roadhouse rolls but it was a cute little touch that I've never seen before. My boyfriend and I both got a 10oz ribeye and both were cooked exactly as we ordered. They both had a great flavor and we really enjoyed them. We both had a ceaser salad as a side and it was brought out for us to enjoy before the main meal. My boyfriend also had asparagus and mashed potatoes both he said he really liked. I had a loaded baked potato with mine which tasted great! I also got a lobster tail and it was some of the best lobster I've ever had. Lastly I ordered two long islands that were perfectly made! My boyfriend had a draft beer that he enjoyed as well. As we walked in we were (not) greeted by the hostess...who just stared at us while chewing on a straw from her drink in a foam cup she kept behind the desk. Never even asked "how many?" Just raised her eyebrows at me questioningly.🙄 A few mins later I was left wondering where my husband was when he was not in the waiting area when I returned from the restroom. I just assumed he had gotten a phone call and stepped outside. Not a single word from any of the four hostesses standing around having a chat while I wandered around the lobby area looking for him. Finally I texted him...come to find out he had been seated for almost 10 mins! Very poor service by the Hostess Desk! Very, very unprofessional! I don't think this is the first impression you want to have made of your restaurant. Find friendlier hostesses and you'll be on the right track. The food wasn't bad...but you need to learn how to cook a steak. Medium means hot pink center...mine had zero pink! The waitress was nice enough but didn't offer us dessert...just a bill...so we skipped it! Lost out on a sale there. That's Waitressing 101.
