This is by far the worst internet/customer experience I've ever dealt with when it comes to ISP's. I have only had my account open for 2 months and my bill has been double what it should be. I called in after the first month to get it fixed and was told my rate would drop to its correct rate. I initially went into Spectrum to get ONLY the 300mb download package for $49.99. However, I was charged over $100 in the first month because the representative who signed me up, signed me up for phone and TV when I explicitly said just internet. I was supposed to have my billing address changed over a phone call because that was also not input correctly by that same rep and it still has not been done. I even tried changing it though the Spectrum app and it still doesn't work. Fast forward to now, I am still being charged $89.99 for a plan that it advertised as $49.99 currently. I had done my research before choosing to go with Spectrum and I know that Spectrum offered a $49.99 plan, so why am I being overcharged a second time?? Not to mention I was forced to pay the bill that was over $100 because the rep was not able to change the bill since it was already generated but I still had over a week and half to pay. This ISP is a joke.
Oh, and by viewing the other reviews that have been left here, it seems that the owners take a lot of pride in their business. Especially when they just copy and paste the same 2 messages as a response to a review LMAO. I'll go with another company that is actually...
Read moreYou are better off not going than you are to go. I went to get WiFi services started at my apartment yesterday. He did not discuss any plans or pricing and the only things he ever asked me for was my information to initially set up my new account. Thankfully, I installed the WiFi equipment my self via their app because I quickly discovered the sales rep added on a home phone to my account after I specifically stated I wanted WiFi only. After my equipment was set up, I contacted customer service and the agent I spoke with informed me that not only did he sign me up for the home phone which I found for myself, but he also signed me up for a basic cable package. Mind you, despite signing me up for these services I wasn’t given any equipment to use them so he was hoping that I wouldn’t catch it because after some reading, Spectrum automatically activates any services that you don’t activate within a week from order date. I worked as a Verizon sales rep for nearly three years here in town and doing this is a huge no-no there. It’s not okay. Always check your account via the app or a phone call if you ever go into the store and they pull up your account. I don’t remember the rep’s name, but he’s been there for a little while, has tattoos on his arms, and darker...
Read moreSeveral months ago I got an offer through the mail from Spectrum & contacted a customer service rep via phone & was offered a much better deal for internet service than I was currently receiving. I was given the option to proceed with that rep or just visit my local office. I chose to visit the local office...HUGE MISTAKE & what a joke. Explained to person helping me what was going on, she was polite & helpful. Next steps in another employee (Jennifer) telling the first person NO she was doing it all wrong. She was arguing with me and the other person helping me, very unprofessional and saying what the rep on the phone told me was wrong. I stated aren't you all the same company? If I am given an offer by your company surely you are obligated to honor it, right? It was such an unpleasant experience & there was no need for it to be.I eventually got the offer I was extended, but it was like pulling teeth when it should have been so easy. There seems to be a complete lack of communication between any/all employees. This needs to be fixed immediately. That 1 star I gave you is a gift you do not deserve and only gave it in order...
