Advanced Granite Solutions — Attraction in Edgewood

I can not recommend Advanced Granite Solutions highly enough! They did an OUTSTANDING job!! First, I found them through a very helpful kitchen designer, however, if you have a great carpenter, which I did not, you can do this without a designer if you know what you want. AGS will help you from start to finish with ALL of it! I needed a two week turn around installation date (read: rush job) due to my home being professionally photographed 2 days after granite kitchen counter tops were installed (I'm selling it.) and a big graduation party here 3 days after pictures! SO much to do!! First, we went there to pick out the granite. Tiffany is VERY professional and knows her granite and stones well! With a certain number of square feet purchased, a heavy guage stainless steel sink is included. There are many options from which to choose. You purchase your own plumbing supplies, including the faucet and replace the water lines etc. yourself after granite installation. After I made my selections,Tiffany assured me that all set up dates would be adhered to. We set up the measurement day, less than a week later. My house is over 100 years old. My walls aren't straight. My bathroom door opens up against an outside edge of the counter top. Enter Luke, the professional, polite, and creative measurement technician!! He measured each wall to include the slight variations. He suggested a half inch overhang on the counter next to the bathroom instead of the standard overhang length to allow for the door to fully open. He was here for over an hour with his laser measuring device, and, thanks to him, when it was installed, it fit like a glove. Thank you Luke! Next, the plumber came to unhook and remove my sink. Then the carpenter came to remove my old counter tops 3 days before the granite was to come. With that, I THOUGHT we were ready for the granite to arrive. Sadly, this was not the case. 😯 My granite kitchen counter tops arrived on time Monday morning of this week. Ed, the on site installer, and his crew of two quickly got to work. However, when Ed looked at a section of my counters, he stated that there was no possible way that the granite could be installed. There were NO supports built in to HOLD the granite. My heart fell. My house was a wreck; pictures in 2 days....I wanted to cry. The carpenter, knowing full well that granite was being placed on top, just left after he pulled off the old counter tops without saying a word. Ed said that two separate areas needed to be framed in. My friend & neighbor arrived in five minutes with 2× 6 boards and an electric saw. I was still just devastated that the granite might leave and head back to the store. Enter Ed! He could not have been more reassuring, kind, and BEYOND helpful. He measured, cut, and built the framing right here! This is not part of HIS job. But he did it with patience, accuracy, and professionalism. I was beyond elated and impressed. My beautiful granite counters were installed! They are absolutely GORGEOUS!! Ed saved the day, not to mention me!! AGS uses THE most current technology to measure (no cut out templates), and to seal the granite. It is a very impressive process to observe! The crew at AGS did a great job on my outside kitchen/bar install. Installing the granite on rough block presented some challenges and required extra time and trips to complete the job. AGS was very helpful during the bid process and provided very competitive pricing. AGS's template man Luke was fantastic and he went above and beyond to make sure the final install was just right. Luke spent extra time making sure appliance cutouts were perfect and made suggestions to help with the finished install of all appliances to ensure proper usability. AGS's installer Benny had to make several trips to complete the granite install and the finished job turned out awesome. Benny and the installers really took their time to make sure the outside install was done properly and they were very courteous and polite throughout. Thanks to Cindy at the main office also for working us in the schedule on a tight timeline to compete our job on time, just prior to a large party. Hired AGS to install my granite 5 years ago while renovating my kitchen. They came highly recommended. They were courteous, professional, prompt and very knowledgeable about the types of stone and granite. Their inventory on-site cannot be matched. It was a joy to walk around with a nice cup of coffee and take it all in. They use the latest technology during template process and install was flawless. Wait time was painless. Prices are very competitive! Now I am having a house built and wanted to hire them again; however, my builder didn't have an account and I was talked into using another. The seam was bad using old technology (cardboard template - whaaaat?). Their inventory was low. They ended up having to do half the granite counter top over again and it took a MONTH.
