Super fun to float the American river during the hot summer months. The trip takes about 6 hours and goes down to River Bend Park where a shuttle takes you back. Tranquil rafting, nothing dangerous. Very fun.

Read moreWhitewater Excitement is an excellent river rafting company. They took me through the entire process and were very helpful over the phone. They take safety seriously and walk you through the safety process step by step to ensure everyone's safety. They make sure you know how to raft, what to do if you fall you overboard, and give you all the necessary safety gear; helmet and life vest. They also double check it is on correctly. They provide a very nice lunch and snacks afterwards. Will our guide was excellent. He made sure the entire family, including my kids knew how to use the oar correctly, told us what level rapids were ahead, and what to do. He made our experience a fantastic one. While other river rafting companies in the river didn't take safety they same way, eg jumping off to rocks, not wearing helmets, and letting people sit on the front off the boat on during level 3+ rapids, our guide Will and Whitewater Excitement ensured our safety while maximizing our fun and adventure that makes this an experience we will never forget. They also have a campground you can camp out at. This was the best whitewater river rafting to say the least. I would highly recommend you consider this company. I will be using them again the next time we are...
Read moreI come here at least once or twice a year, and I have noticed a increase in rental prices. However, on this particular visit, our large group needed an additional raft, so we rented a 4-person raft for $100 around 12pm. We tied up with the rest of the group and began our river adventure.
During our trip, we decided to take a break for lunch and some swimming. However, our enjoyable moment was interrupted when a kayak employee approached us, claiming to work for ARRR. He identified himself as the pace person and insisted that everyone needed to be in front of him, urging us to start heading down the river immediately. We said ok but let us finish our lunch.
Unfortunately, this employee displayed rude behavior by sitting at the edge of the river, approximately 10 feet away, and staring at us. He even made phone calls to ARRR and took pictures. Feeling angry, I had to firmly tell him to go away and not treat us like children.
Despite this unpleasant encounter, we managed to reach the return area with 40 minutes to spare, even passing other rental groups along the way. I want to express my frustration with the ARRR kayak employee for rushing my birthday celebration that took place...
