Sunrise Recreation Area — Attraction in Rancho Cordova

I've been coming here all my life since I can remember.. good times and friendly people:) lots of paved trails to walk, hike, bike, bring your dog as well! Just be cautious about hot pavement in the summer please. Public restrooms and trash cans are available along the trails and benches and tables along the American river. You also have trails that aren't paved to explore. Its pretty big and long following the American river so make sure to be prepared for anything like rattlesnakes in the summer and wildlife. Another nice place along the American River. Theirs nice trails to walk or ride a bike across the Gatey Bridge. Ive always come here to launch for rafting, came here for some fishing this morning. The water was nice, wasnt too cold and didnt seem too fast. Its really brought back memories of being in college and coming out here with how high the water has come up.
