This is a hard review to write. I really want to give 5 stars but I can't. The food was very good, which is why you go to an expensive restaurant. But the service was terrible. My wife and I met a friend for an early dinner while they were in town. It happened to be on valentine's day, but as we were meeting at 3pm reservations weren't needed. We were seated at a booth by the bar, and one of the bartenders was our waiter. Shortly after being seated by the hostess the bartender brought menus and took our drink order. The drinks came very quickly, and the bartender said he'd be right back. Apparently 'right back' is over 30 minutes. I tried to get his attention several times after we realized that he wasn't coming right back but he never even looked our way. It was even more frustrating as he could be seen going about the bar area talking to other customers and another table, even though he wasn't their waiter. Once we finally order the food was over 30 minutes to be served, and that was by another server, we had the feeling that it was forgotten. Besides the very slow service the bar area was noisy, as you'd expect a bar to be, but since we were early in the rush hour there were plenty of open tables in the main restaurant area. The food was good and had large portions, enough that we each got two meals out of it. But for $28 a plate of lasagna, it should. For three of us, with dinner, a drink, and dessert the bill came to $165 before tip. As good as I think it was, it wasn't worth the bill, even without taking into account the...
Read moreThe food was good enough. But the moment my boyfriend and I walked into this restaurant here's what I got from the experience: No one at the receptionist desk but then a few seconds pass and then comes a very non welcoming individual that seemed to not care about customer service and just showed us where to sit and then walked away not really saying anything. 2. We waited for the waitress to come.... and waited...and waited....then finally she came but seemed confused when she looked at us like were just kids coming into a "higher end wine restaurant".... She could of just had a bad day at work but still that kind of vibe and not even trying to welcome us is unacceptable in a customer service role. Little does she know my boyfriend and I have been college graduates with a bachelors for the past two years and can afford to eat there. 3. So after eating we waited forever for the the waitress girl to come back... Its like "do you not want us to pay you!?" If anything the guy that actually served us our food was more friendly for that half a second he gave us our food. Through out my experience there I also did notice while eating that the receptionist at the front of the restaurant was still not even looking at the customers walking in or was on his phone. He was doing the complete opposite of what he was supposed to be doing. All in all I'm over it,...
Read moreWe came to the restaurant at 8:15pm. No reservation but the host said we had a15 min wait which was fine. They don't have any wait area so we told the host we would be at the bar. Ordered a glass of wine and waited more than 15 min. We went to the host to check on our table and he assumed we were eating the bar even though I said we will be at the bar. Then a manager tells us they are running behind and it would be more than 45 min for any food order. Did that change in 15min? Why didn't he tell us that when we walked in. Now I'm in for a $12 glass of wine and no food. I'm not eating a full meal at 9:30 pm. The bartender hears what was happening and suggested we just order salads as those would come out quickly, maybe. Now, I understand these things happen... You are busier than planned or short one or two workers. But, what upset me was NO ONE said sorry for the inconvenience. I still had half a glass of wine to finish, that was an enjoyable drink, not. On the way out we passed the manager and the host and neither apologized. I've eaten here before and the food is phenomenal. I had been trying to get my spouse here for two years. Finally he agrees and this is...
