My husband had purchased for a special birthday surprise for me, a beautiful white & yellow Gold wrist watch. Spent $500.00. He had forgotten that he had already given me a Beautiful Gold Watch years prior. I had not worn it in quite a few years since I had surgery on that wrist that I always wore my watch on. It was put away. Out of sight, out of mind. When He presented this NEW ONE to me, less than 24 hrs after purchasing it, I felt awful reminding him he had already bought me one & I no longer can wear it. I immediately went back to the store, less than the 24 hrs.after he had purchased it,, receipt in hand, & asked for a REFUND. The Owners wife( she is in the ad pictures in newspaper), said I could not get a REFUND, ONLY CREDIT! Believe me, I argued the point & explained that I already had a GOLD WATCH, & the fact it was less than 24 hrs since purchase. ALL ORIGINAL LABELS & BOX were INTACT! but She didn't want to hear it!! I HAD TO ACCEPT THE CREDIT UNDER PROTEST! I Swore to them that "I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEIR ESTABLISHMENT EVER & WOULD TELL EVERYONE I KNOW THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY USE!!! Update: the store manager Jordan called me immediately after seeing this review and apologized profusely for the situation. He offered to comp the fee as well as gave me a Starbucks gift card personally when I picked up my watches. I truly appreciate his response and hope that the staff learns from his wonderful manners and customer service. 5 stars for Jordan. Lacking customer service, I called to inquire about how long it would take to have watch batteries replaced and was told that if I came in now it would be done today. I dropped off my watches before 3 pm and was again assured that they would be done by 5. When I came at 6:15 they could not find my watches. They finally located them in the to do bin. The girl says with her fake smile, oh he didn’t get to them so they will definitely be done by tomorrow. I asked why they hadn’t given me the curtesy of a phone call so I didn’t waste my time and was told that they didn’t know they weren’t done, with an “oh well” attitude. I had posted a beautiful ring for sale, however, the buyer and I don't blame her, wanted to make sure the ring was legit as to being gold and that the stones were natural and not lab made or glass. I searched Google Maps and found this shop - Arden's Jewelry at Sumpter landing. I was amazed at the gallery with its proper lighting and best of all, their courteous staff. They served us as if we were buying a lot of jewelry, but was there for a simple appraisal to make sure that the ring was what it is supposed to be. They stated the weight in grams and that the stones were natural, even clean the ring at no charge, that's service. What was more than professional, they did not say what the ring was worth, respecting business wise that, that was between me and the buyer.
