We had been out to dinner and decided to pop in, on our walk back to our truck. The young ladies who were working were polite and told us about the store. We admired the huge turkey and giant Santa molded chocolates. We chose a few pieces of chocolate to carry home for dessert (4 pieces=$12). It seemed a bit pricey, but we were full from dinner, so only wanted something small. My true disappointment was in the way our chocolates were packaged for us to bring home!!!!!! 4 pieces of chocolate just dumped into a small blue bag with their logo......y'all take time to make this and then just toss it into a bag for take home?!?! Not even a piece of waxed paper over the top of the bag. The chocolates weren't even in their individual papers, due to the way they were so haphazardly put in this small bag. Everything in this store is meticulously packaged, so I'm not sure why our purchase was treated so callously.....maybe we didn't purchase enough for decent packaging.....not sure. What I am sure of is that I won't be back............I'll spend my time and money where it seems more appreciated. In business, folks should learn that a small purchase is as important as a large purchase and you always want repeat customers!!!!!! This experience didn't meet up at all to the "persona" they are trying for and overall left a bad taste in my mouth. The dark chocolate wasn't near as good...
Read moreSad to have to add this chocolate shop to my lifetime boycott list. This place is 15 minutes from my home, and I’m under age 40. So they can guesstimate the loss of revenue when they calculate the lost value of a customer’s lifetime. My husband went here the other day to pick up chocolates for my birthday. I asked him to get two packages of milk chocolate covered oreos, and one box of milk chocolate toasted coconut clusters. He’s not into chocolate like me. So when he entered the store, he asked the woman for those items, and she handed them to him. Today I opened the second package of chocolate covered oreos. Super disappointed that I bit into a chocolate covered peanut butter ritz cracker. I spit it out, and my husband took a bite to see if he liked it. Nope. I had him immediately drive to Peterbrooke to fix the situation. They refused because one was missing. It was their mistake. They handed him the wrong thing and we didn’t even know they made chocolate covered peanut butter ritz crackers. This chocolate is not cheap and I work long hours for my money to have...
Read moreThe chocolate is exquisite all their delicacies are amazing in taste the only negative I'd say is the pricing you don't get a whole lot for what you pay for and it doesn't matter if you're buying quantity they seem to be very Stern and not very helpful with knowledge and information possibly a little bit of retraining for customer service will take this business to the next level if they plan on staying open that is every time we go in there there's nobody in there again treats are good and delicious but it's honestly the employees that and their attitudes that can be improved I mean at least you know throw me a smile when I come in be appreciative for our business instead of acting like you're doing us a favor by being open not to mention we travel over an hour when we go to the villages to enjoy the entire property many times we walked past peterbrook chocolates due to the lack of appreciation for our business... It's a new year I hope you read this and take the suggestions which I'm sure you've heard from more...
