I purchased a salvaged 2023 Mazda MX-5 from AutoSavvy Las Vegas on Sahara in December 2023, and my experience with them has been extremely disappointing.
Within 15 minutes of purchasing the car, an LED warning light appeared on the dashboard. I immediately texted my salesperson to report the issue (I have documentation of this communication, text 1). She directed me to contact AutoSavvy’s customer service, which I did (text 2). I was able to schedule an appointment for their service department to inspect the issue the next morning.
The next day, I also discovered a problem with the retractable hardtop. When closing it, the driver’s side window no longer aligned properly with the roof, leaving a visible gap where water could enter. At my service appointment, the dealership fixed the hardtop issue, which they admitted was due to it not being flush with the vehicle. This raised concerns for me since this type of repair should have been addressed during the initial salvage process. However, for the LED warning light, they informed me they couldn’t diagnose the issue and advised me to take the car to Mazda.
When I brought the car to Mazda, their inspection revealed that the LED warning light was caused by inoperative swivel motors in both headlights. With evidence of a prior front-end crash, and the total repair cost was estimated at $3,388 (I have the documentation from Mazda to support this, mazda invoice). Given that the car was salvaged from a front-end crash (verifiable through the VIN history), I concluded that this was unrepaired damage from before I purchased the car. I had not experienced any crashes or other incidents after buying the vehicle.
Over the next six months, I attempted to resolve this issue with AutoSavvy. Initially, when I provided them with Mazda’s findings, they told me the issue needed to go through internal approvals, which they said would take a few days. Despite my numerous follow-ups via calls and texts, it took their service team over four months to respond, and when they finally did, they claimed that headlight assemblies were not covered. I clarified that this was not a warranty claim but an issue of prior unrepaired damage, which I was not made aware of when purchasing the car (I have documentation of this communication, text 3)
After that, AutoSavvy stopped responding to my communications. Each time I called, I was told a manager would get back to me, but I never received a callback.
I am now exploring legal action as I believe I have exhausted all other methods of resolution. It is unacceptable to purchase a vehicle with unrepaired damage and then be ignored by the dealership when the issue is brought to their attention.
TL;DR: I purchased a salvaged 2023 Mazda MX-5 from AutoSavvy Las Vegas. The car had over $3,000 in pre-existing damage that wasn’t disclosed or repaired. Despite months of trying to work with them, the dealership stopped responding to my attempts to...
Read moreWe absolutely hate going car shopping because 97% of the time we have a bad to horrible experience. The lies, deceit and scams are a big turn off.
Shopping for a used car at Auto Savvy we were expecting for another horrible experience. We were prepared to immediately walk away to visit the next dealership.
During our entire time there, we were waiting for something to go wrong so we could leave. Our expectations were very low. At the end of the day we were pleasantly surprised.
Our sales person, Angel Webb, had a lot to do with our overall pleasant experience. We thought he was genuinely nice and honest. He had an upbeat and cheerful demeanor which was contagious.
We did our homework before coming to your dealership. We new which car we wanted for my mother-in-law and we had a few back ups from your dealers and even more options at other dealerships.
Angel only knew we wanted a small compact car in the $15,000 range with low miles. He found a few vehicles to look at, one being the vehicle we came there for.
The first vehicle Angel brought out, my husband did not look like he approved of it. Angel saw my husband had a baffled look on his face and told him there was no pressure to test drive that car. He said he wanted us to be happy and feel right about the vehicle we wanted.
The second vehicle Angel pulled out was the vehicle we came there for. We were shocked it was still available.
During our test drive, Angel had another vehicle readily available for us.
We told Angel we found the vehicle we wanted and he completed his paperwork on a timely manner.
We left the dealership to get a cashiers check. When we return, Angel had another customer at his desk. He did a great job multitasking by taking care of them and also with us.
Angel was a blessing. He found the vehicle we wanted and made your dealership our first and only stop. We thought we were going to be disappointed and would have to visit several dealerships.
My husband and I were tired and cranky because we drove up there from Los Angeles to help find a car for my mother-in-law who resides in Las Vegas. Our trip was worth it.
Auto Savvy had a good variety of vehicle at reasonable prices compared to your competitors.
We hope to convince our family and friends to purchase their next vehicle from Angel.
We are glad we were wrong with our initial feelings about your dealership.
Thank you Angel Webb and thank...

I had my vehicle less than 24hrs and started having transmission issues. 3 days after that there is a rubbing sound to the left driver front tire as though it is a bearing or axle. Fast forward 3 days (now 7 days after purchase) and the electronic components do not function. Heady it goes completely out and screen goes black, lane assist, parking assist and more do not work. It would of been nice to drive the vehicle around a little more but was only given the vehicle with 10 miles til empty for a test drive. When we traded our car in they drove it from the front parking lot to the back and said "your vehicle drives great, no issues". Luckily our trade in really didn't have issues but they probably did the same with the vehicle le we purchased since it was a trade in.
Customer service is asking for a quote to try and resolve the issue but we will see if they will make it right. Just so many things going wrong with the vehicle and it hasn't even been registered under my name yet with the DMV. Vehicle
UPDATE: Date is 4/7/25 and the vehicle has broken down on us a total of 3 times and has left us stranded. Still waiting on reimbursements that were promised by customer service AND the manager at dealership. Last email response was “ I still do not have a response on the refunds, I'm very sorry. I will keep asking. I'm sorry there isn't more I can do in...
