I was shopping for an engagement ring for my soon-to-be fiancé, searching tirelessly at many of the well-known jewelry retail chains and big box stores - and was unimpressed with the limited selection, lack of guidance, and sub-par quality of the engagement rings I viewed. I decided to educate myself on diamonds to make sure that I got the absolute best deal and best quality diamond for my future wife to be. After about a year or so of searching, I was ready to give up - until I did a simple Google search for jewelers in the Richmond, Virginia area - and lo and behold, I found a highly rated diamond jeweler and broker by the name of Cheryl Fornash. She spent the time to educate me on the 4 "C's", and even had me look at a few stones personally with a magnified loupe as well as with my naked eye to see which stone captured my interest the most. She turned what was once a daunting experience into a game of sorts, making it easy to see the differences in quality and explaining all the numbers that mattered. This was so helpful! I kept going back to the same diamond, and eventually had her build the perfect ring for me. After an agreed timeline had passed, I went in to pick up the ring. I was breath-taken by the quality and craftsmanship, unparalleled to anything I had seen thus far in other retailers. It was so exciting to see something created especially for me, instead of a retail ring available to any consumer. I found Cheryl Fornash here on Google and,after visiting several other jewelers, all the reviews are what convinced me to give her a call. Cheryl was very flexible in scheduling appointments and was eager to help me find the perfect diamond and engagement setting. I had searched thousands of images of ring designs and could not find the perfect setting. As I described to Cheryl the design I was looking for, it was clear I needed a custom ring. She mentioned her designer could create exactly what I was looking for. Cheryl took the time to describe her process, educate on the quality and characteristics of diamonds, and advise me she would not sell a poor quality stone. I was sold by her desire to make me happy in my purchase.

By sending her multiple images of different ring designs and styles I wanted blended together, I was able to give her a very close representation of what I wanted for my future fiancé's ring. We discussed what sort of diamond I was looking for, examined a couple she picked specially for this ring, and we found the perfect stone within my budget. The stone was sent to her designer and in a very short time, Cheryl met me the day after Thanksgiving, of all days, to deliver what I found to be EXACTLY what I was looking for!

When my husband and I decided to marry a couple of years ago, I had mentioned to a few people that we had a very special diamond that we wanted to have set. I must have heard three different people at three different times recommend I take it to Cheryl. I had some ideas of what I wanted and had seen a few settings online. When we met with Cheryl, we both instantly knew she was the ONLY person we would trust with our diamond! She explained a lot to us about pros and cons of different settings and potential bands. She was leaving the next day for a show and emailed me two days later with pictures and ideas for my stone.She is so attentive to what she knows you are looking for without pressuring you or talking you into something else! We ended up with a simple "Tiffany" setting that was temporary until we were ready for the bigger and more costly setting. Fast forward to this past summer when we were finally ready to change the setting and I ended up just wanting a platinum version of our simple setting. She suggested a little wider shank and at first I didn't think I wanted it wider but I AM SO HAPPY I went with her suggestion.
