The matter which happened today was not acceptable. My family included mom, dad, and my husband went to the market for some groceries. We came into the store at 9:00 pm and the store closes at 10 pm. It was freezing at the vegetable place so my dad told us he would wait for us at the security table (which was very close to the exit). When we heard the announcement that they would close in 15 minutes, we immediately rushed to the cashier. As we were checking out, my dad ran to me and told me that the security guy was vulgar to him. So this is what happened. As he was waiting and playing on his phone, this security guy named Kim wanted to kick my dad out. The reason he was waiting inside because it was 40 degree outside. At first, this security man walked toward where my dad was standing with a chair and COLLIDED my dad, put that chair right next to him and sat down. My dad was shocked, so he immediately stayed away from the security guy and went to another corner. After that, he stood up and used both of his hands, did this thing to drive my dad away as my dad already pointing at the cashier (means that he was waiting or someone to check out but he does not speak English very well, so he had to use body language to express himself). Even though my dad showed him that he was waiting for someone but still for some reason, Kim ran away and got another Vietnamese security to talk to my dad. He asked what my dad was doing here, and of course, my dad told him he was waiting on his family because it was cold inside and outside. They both acted like we were going to steal something. The Vietnamese security was checking my receipt so long and went through everything because this matter happened. I mean why did he check my receipt so careful after what happened. Yes, I was very mad about staff actions. It was insulting and ununderstandable to a 65 old man. We did not stay too late to shop, of course, we were already checking out 15 minutes before they close. I don't think they should treat their customers that way. I buy at this location almost three times a week because it is 5 minutes away from my house. It is very close and convenient. I will still go to this location because they have items that I want, but I hope the staffs will have better training and treat customers with a smile. We are here for good trades; we give yall money, yall give us what we want, it's not that we are here to...
Read moreI visited this store on 08/14/2021 for the second time since I discovered it. I was on line to check out and the customers ahead of us had purchased some fish. The bag the fish had been placed in was leaking and got the conveyer belt all wet. The customer was looking for something to dry it with and came across some napkins in her purse, once she did what she could she disposed of the trash in the waste basket located in the register isle behind her.
The customer was experiencing some technical issues with her payment method so this took a minute. During this time Selena, our cashier let the belt run and this just caused a spread of the fish water to overtake the entire belt.
My friend went to another cash register and located a spray bottle, I began to spray the belt so I could place my food on a clean surface. I asked Selena if she had some paper towels, she went and got some, upon her return she handed them to me, I then thanked her and uttered, with noticeable sarcasm, thank you for the privilege of doing a job you get paid to do, at this tome she looked at me and responded with a sly, huh you don’t have to do it. Apparently, if I wanted a clean surface to place my food on, yes, I did because customer service is clearly not your forte and your lack of manners does not make things better either, I guess I should have called for management to explain to her the dangers of cross contamination that can come about when food makes contact with raw meats. The store is great I love it but the customer service left a great deal to be desired. Mind you, I am not asking for something other than a clean surface for products I will be consuming most of which were fruits and veggies I will...
Read moreI visit this location from time to time as it is close to my house. To get extra steps in because of my all day office job I like to walk. I've adapted a method of carrying my groceries home in a handy dandy backpack. Nothing too big but it works so my hands are free to be alert. I've never had a problem with carrying my bag and shopping at this location until today. Upon leaving I was approached by someone that wanted to see my receipt. I had already put it up in my backpack but whatever. Walmart does it too. So I get my receipt out and show him. He does his look over check (idk how he can verify that everything is on the receipt with as much as I payed for but whatever toots his horn. I don't make the job) But then he tells me with as best English as he can, not to bring my backpack next time. Now I have shopped here many times before and each time have carried my backpack but never been greeted that way. He actually watched me walk into the store and did not say anything. I asked why and was told it was policy as to which he pointed to the sign saying "Please have a great day" as if it was the list of rules. I am so offended. Furthermore if someone is to the point where they need to steal 29 cent oranges then maybe they just need to have them. I absolutely do not condone stealing in any shape or manner but come on. There were days when people shopped with their own bags?! Or is it because of my ethnicity... I don't need to pull that card because this situation is just Idiocracy at it's best. There will not be a next time for me. I will shop where I am respected as a hard-working customer who just wants to...
