I hate to leave a negative review but my last experience has really bothered me.
A couple of weeks ago I took my son to Disc Reply to buy an game and I spotted a Simpsons set I didn't have.
The game didn't work but we were able to return it without issue.
The part that still upsets me is the deal over the DVD set. When I took the case to the clerk he went right to the area where the discs are kept. He picked it up and another employee went to talk to him. The clerk then started to shuffle through the other Simpson DVDs. After waiting a few minutes he told me that he was not able to find that set of discs. I told him he just had them in his hands, they were the first ones he picked up. I'm no expert but I know the artwork on these discs. He told me I was mistaken the discs he was holding belonged to another set. The set he claimed they belonged to was not a set they had in stock. When I went home I looked on line to view the disc art to see if it was possible that I was mistaken. I wasn't. I was lied to and made to wait for several minutes while they created an excuse not to sell me the DVDs in question, not to mention my previous wait in line. Not cool. Needless to say, I found the DVDs elsewhere, new, for the same price they wanted.
I doubt I will go back. I don't need to be lied to over something so petty.
When I buy physical games, consoles, and what have you, I almost exclusively shop at Disc Replay. They are a go-to store for all things electronics-wise (DVDS, Video Games, TV, Consoles, Laptops, Accessories, etc.). Prices are reasonable for market value and are usually in line with what you would find while looking elsewhere for the same product. Sometimes, they will have incredible deals for highly sought-after media, making them a great resource for collecting. Contents come and go at the store, so you have to act quickly if you want to purchase something, as Terre Haute has a very active community in media collection.
Most of everything (outside of almost all the accessories) is pre-bought/used, but this is no issue! I have never had an issue with anything bought from the store as the employees restore everything that comes through before listing it for sale. The employees are always happy to help, and I have had many great conversations with most of them at this point. The employees also won't jidge you if you are unfamiliar or unaware of certain topics when it comes to media, so for people looking for gifts or first-time customers, it's highly recommended!
While the reselling of products might not earn uou much, as a base for media collection and a resource for media history, Disc Replay might be the best media store in...
