Well, let's start off with the fact that I'm a doordasher.
I recently dashed for these fine folks for a customer who lives 20 minutes away. As I was coming back to my base of operations, the customer complained that there was an item missing from their order. I double-checked before leaving the restaurant, but alas, doordash does not allow us to have access to the pictures we take. If so, I could have confirmed if this was the case.
I asked her to call the restaurant, and out of honor, I stopped dashing and went over to the restaurant to retrieve her item. The employees were certain they had given me the item, and I honestly believed them because they were making her another order regardless. The customer then complained she had no chicken on her chicken pizza, and thus they made her a new one as well... I have never felt so sorry for an establishment before. They were kind enough to even offer me a pizza because they knew I was going to spend 1 hr and 20 minutes on "fixing" this customer's order.
Outside of this experience, I visited Azzip after dashing to said customer a second time.
I ordered the white lightning pizza and some zip sticks. It's been 5 months since I've had pizza (I very rarely eat out), and I must say, Azzip Pizza is quite the delight. I particularly like thincrust pizza, and their formula is rather phenomenal.
Their employees and establishment make the pizza taste all the more enjoyable. Kind individuals with enough energy to light up ISU.
Azzip, I'm sorry I can't do much more in thanks for your understanding and compassion. Thank you for the warmth you've shown me and the great tasting pizza. May success and fortune find its way to you and your...
Read moreAzzip offers a large selection of bases and toppings. They have the more commonly asked for bases and toppings, but it's nice to be able to make something completely different. I chose pesto as my base, and mellow whole roasted garlic as one of my many toppings. Azzip has their own pizza menu to choose from if you prefer to order that way. You can also order online. Designing your own pizza is the same as going to Subway and choosing your toppings. Bases and toppings are put on your crust as you move down the line. At the end your pizza is popped into an oven right in front of you. When it comes out the other side it is perfectly done. The entire process takes five minutes. Yes, five minutes, for the best pizza I have ever eaten. I called today to make sure, and for Seniors 55+ Azzip does offer $1.50 discount off any order. If you are 55+ be sure to ask for your Senior Citizen discount. The service at Azzip was great. In Terre Haute good old Hoosier Hospitality was on board. No matter where you are I'm sure you'll love going to...
Read moreWhen you are bad at anagrams and crossword puzzles, you may feel a sense of pride ordering from Azzip Pizza. I've eaten here twice, once when they first opened, then during the March Madness event. Both times I wasn't impressed, but I wasn't completely disappointed. The best feeling I can think to describe Azzip is claustrophobia with a side of saltine cracker crust. I have three big complaints which is why Azzip will not be receiving five stars. One, the crust resembles a saltine cracker. Two, the toppings aren't free yet the workers will insist you add extra toppings without revealing this tiny detail. And three, if you don't appreciate smelling half a dozen Hoosiers breathing down the back of your neck while attempting to eat your saltine with tomato sauce and cheese, then this restaurant won't be for you.
Don't get me wrong, it's better than Pizza Hut, Domino's, and Papa John's, but it isn't the best pizza joint in...
