This resort has been a favorite of ours the past three years, however, this year has proven to have been VERY different. We chose this resort for its unique opportunity to back up to a deck that over looks the beach and the Sound. We had the exact same fifth wheel last year and rebooked for this year. We easily fit into the site as you can see in my attached photo’s. When trying to rebook for our fifth year we were told that the policy now does not allow anything over 40ft, we are 44.4 ft. This policy does not exist on their website and the map of sites does not show any maximum lengths on “any” sites. Since we have parked there the last four years I was persistent in my attempt to get answers for this change, only to be told very rudely and un-professionally that it was policy, end of discussion and I was not to bring it up again.

I asked for an opportunity to speak to the owner/manager but they would not provide any contact information, their response was “we have already spoken to them”and they will not change their mind. My goal was to share pictures showing that our trailer was completely sitting on the pad with all landing jacks on the concrete, our backend was not hanging over the deck and we had a 10ft set back from the road, and able to park our crew cab dually off the road. By providing these details I had hoped that they could understand our confusion and perhaps modify the length restriction. Sadly, during our stay we witnessed two Class A’s parked next to us that we’re over 40ft (I looked up the model#) and weighing thousands of pounds more then our fifth wheel. Needless to say our experience over the two weeks we were there has proven that we have a case of unjustifiable and unfair business practices with no appreciation for returning customers.

With that said, If you want to be respected and treated fairly, this is not the place to go. We have years and years of experience camping all over the place and have NEVER been treated so badly.

A few suggestions for the owner/managers:

A. Take the time to address your customers questions and concerns personally. B. Send your office staff to a customer service training course so they can learn to speak to someone without being combative and rude. (Not one time did I speak to them in a disrespectful manner). C. If your going to refer to a policy, make sure it’s posted and available to be read by the customer. D. When booking get all information on the coach including the model # so you can ensure that the length your told is accurate. E. Asked your customer to park in the center of their pads, the sites are tight and when they park on edge of their pads and their slides are extended they are encroaching into the parking area of the next persons site. (When one shifts then everyone starts shifting). This simple rule allows your customer the use of their entire site which they paid for. F. Be open to suggestions without taking offense, it’s amazing what can be learned and applied to the business when your open to conversation without becoming defensive and argumentative. Learning positive business practices from another campground could provide a better customer experience and satisfaction for your resort.

We leave very sad and extremely frustrated. We enjoyed doing business with the middle aged ladies in the office in the past, they were always kind and seemed to truly appreciate our business. The younger generation could certainly learn a lot from...

We stayed at Emerald Beach for the month of December during Covid. The campground is located on the Santa Rosa Sound, East of Pensacola and West of Fort Walton Beach. It is right along Route 98, which means there is significant road noise at all hours! You do learn to tune it out. There are grocery stores, a Walmart and other shopping nearby. It’s a short drive to Pensacola where you will find any and all shopping you might need as well as wonderful beaches and sights. Pensacola Beach has some fabulous restaurants.

The campground has its own very small beach area (on the Sound), with permanent umbrellas. There is also a nice little fenced dog area near the beach. There are a few campsites which have a small deck that overlooks the beach and the Sound-these are tough to get! The long walkway over the water leading out to their own gazebo on the Sound had been destroyed by a hurricane in the fall so was not usable. The water is fairly shallow off the beach, and good for swimming. We did not use the bathrooms at all so cannot comment on their upkeep.

The grounds are well maintained. The campsites are tightly spaced and unless you have an end sight near the beach you will only see the water if you walk out into the road. There are no walking trails so we just walked up and down the rows daily. We stayed here to be close to family for the holidays but can’t say that we would stay here again due to the tight spaces. The staff are friendly however we asked from day one not to have to move sites for the last week of our stay – while they said they would try to make that happen I don’t believe they really did. The sites along the fence on the west side of the park are VERY tight and there is little room for the tow vehicle. The seating area for these sites is at the back of the space and feels VERY closed in… avoid them...

Worst place ever. I went down approx 10 days prior to arrival and made sure my Son, Daughter-in-law with 4 children (ages 16, 8, 6 and 4) were allowed to come visit. I was told ok and was told it would be $6 per person and I said ok no problem, I will come up and pay before they get here, I don't want them to pay and was told OK. When they arrived on Monday 7/3/23, my daughter in law was treated horribably and told too many that she had to leave. I paid the $36 dollars for them and was told in the contract I signed says no more than 6 period including the campers. The lady was so hateful and upset my daughter in law. I called and was told by the original lady that I spoke with when I came to check out the facility that I signed a contract and to let more than 6 on site was a breach of contract, however, I was told if I packed up and left now she would breach the contract and refund me the rest of my stay. HMMM... we can breach contract for one thing but not the other. I will never stay there again and I will continue to pass the information along to anyone that cares to listen. WORST PLACE, close sites, you can hear you neighbors just talking. NO beach to speak of and you can't have you family visit. They owe me back my $36.00 for making my family leave and I did leave a day early because it was just a horrible stay period. Horrible staff, rude. There are much nicer places to stay along Hwy 98 don't subject youself to bad places or people. NEVER AGAIN They lied to me when point blank asked and they want to through out the "Contract". DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE !!!!! NO STARS IF POSSIBLE. ...

We stayed at Emerald Beach RV Park in Navarre, Florida, from September 22 – October 6, 2024, and had a fantastic experience! Upon arrival the staff was friendly and gave us the information for our site and the campground. We were in Site 34, a concrete pull-through site with full hook-ups and a picnic table. The site was long enough to comfortably accommodate our 42' 5th wheel and car, although we did have to park our truck in the overflow parking. The sites are a little close, but you are in Florida and that is common if you want to be close to the beach. The campgrounds were well maintained and had the following amenities: clean bathrooms and showers, a laundry room, a pool, a private beach, a pavilion, a tiki hut, a pier, a dump station, and on-site propane. The park is pet friendly and has an enclosed pet beach so your animals can enjoy the water too. The private beach and pier were perfect for relaxing and taking in the views. The wildlife in the area added to the charm, and the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets made our stay even more memorable. We were there during Hurricane Helene's impact on Florida and witnessed the most breathtaking sunsets both on the day it made landfall and the day after. If you are looking to stay in the Navarre area, I would recommend staying here.
