BUYER BEWARE! If I could leave less than a one star rating, I would give EXPO FURNITURE GALLERY a “0”! They start out promising you everything but then things go downhill from there. First, we purchased a CalKing BeautyRest mattress with a set delivery date. After completing the purchase, we received a call stating they didn’t have the mattress in stock after all and they needed to provide us with a “loaner” until the mattress became available. We had already removed the old mattress so this became a necessity. The loaner was in the plastic bag still and we were instructed that we could not remove the plastic. Needless to say, it was very difficult sleeping on the bed with the crunching of the plastic wrap during the night! The actual mattress we ordered was finally delivered two weeks later! No calls or updates during this entire time – we had to call them for status. We also purchased a new European King BeautyRest Firm mattress after trying those on the showroom floor for best comfort along with a king bed frame (headboard, etc.) We set a delivery date and, low and behold, we again received a call delaying the delivery by a week. When the delivery guys showed up, things went okay until after they had assembled the bedframe. Turned out the mattress they delivered was not even the correct size! The label had been partially removed and simply stated “King.” It was obvious that something had preceded the King but it could not have been “Cal” because the mattress dimensions didn’t match that either. There was also a large bulge within the mattress itself that wouldn’t go away. The delivery guy even acknowledged the mattress was defective. Again, they had to reschedule a delivery for a replacement mattress. We were able to get them to deliver the replacement (after much discussion with their manager) a couple of days later. After the new mattress was delivered and set up, we thought things were finally good. That said, after sleeping on the mattress for a few nights, my wife was having terrible back pains. The mattress was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood and was definitely harder than what we had experienced in the showroom. The firmness also seemed to vary across the mattress, really firm in some spots and soft in others. We called to replace the mattress on the morning of the 4th day after delivery and were told that their replacement policy was 3 days and that included the weekend day they were closed. All other furniture stores we have dealt with indicate they had a return policy of at least a month! “Fred”, the manager, was not willing to work with us and insistent regarding the timeframe and restocking fee. We may have exchanged the mattress again, but this wasn’t an option according to him. We ended up returning the mattress and had to pay a 25% restocking fee! We informed Fred that we would be leaving a negative review and he didn’t care stating they get good reviews and bad reviews all the time and to go ahead. The mattress to be picked up is still here awaiting the delivery guys to come get it tomorrow (9/14/24) – we’ll see what happens… late? Rescheduled? No telling…. We ended up buying a new mattress from a competitor and it has a 4 month return policy! Go to Mattress Firm! Their prices are better for quality mattresses and their delivery is solid – one...
Read moreWe are so pleased with this place. Steve is an amazing salesperson. The first time we came in he was very helpful in helping us find a sofa set for our needs (and we are picky 🤣). He kept finding piece after piece until we found the right one. We had gone to Living Spaces and purchased two loveseat recliners, then went here to look for something else and ended up leaving with an entire sectional piece and cancelling the other from Living Spaces because the entire section was less money than Living Space (two loveseats). We paid no sales tax and delivery was within a couple days. When we got the sectional home, we realized it wouldn't fit too good in our living room. We contacted Steve and he said, no problem. Had us come in and return the pieces we didnt need and let us use store credit for something we wanted. (He didnt hsve to do this because sales are final). He helped us to find the perfect piece again for our home.
I would highly recommend this place and ask for Steve, he will hook you up good. We will buy from them in future furniture needs.
